Chapter 2040
"What are you doing here?" Decker asked with his face wrought in apprehension.
Roland stepped out of the elevator and ignored his question. He looked at Isabel who was in his arms and said in a
deliberate, harsh voice, "Put her down."
Decker narrowed his eyes. "She's my woman. What goes on between us has nothing to do with you. I advise you to
mind your own business and get out of here."
He hugged Isabel tightly like she was a prized treasure.
Isabel continued to stretch her hands out desperately at Roland. She could feel every cell in her body burning, but
the only thought that occupied her mind was to cry out for Roland's help. She asserted firmly, "Roland, nothing is
going on between me and him! He's my ex-boyfriend. I broke up with him a long time ago!"
Roland's expression tightened as he looked at Decker coldly and repeated, "Put her down!"
Decker lowered his voice to a dangerous growl, "Roland, you have no right to order me around. Get out of the way."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtRoland was done trying to negotiate. He started stepping toward Decker with Isabel in his arms.
Decker was startled by this, so he hurriedly backed away.
Roland had already come in front of Isabel.
Isabel immediately grabbed his shoulders. In one swift motion, Roland took her around her waist and tried to jerk
her away from Decker.
Decker was relentless. He held onto Isabel tightly and refused to let go.
Isabel was caught between the two men tugging at her from different directions. She twisted her body and kicked
one of her legs at Decker's stomach.
Decker was caught entirely off guard, so he winced from the pain and let go at last.
Isabel clung to Roland like an octopus.
Roland held onto her protectively and took several steps back, away from Decker.
The two young men who came out of the elevator with him immediately stepped forward to dissuade Decker from
charging him.
Decker glared at him viciously. "Roland, she’s mine!"
Roland shot him a disinterested glance, then he walked out of the hotel with Isabel in his arms.
Roland stood tall like a statue, his grip firm and strong. On top of it all, he was blessed with indescribably good looks.
After finally wringing herself free from Decker, Isabel let her guard down entirely, and with it, her sense of reason
as well. She twisted around in his arms and pressed herself to his
body.
"Roland..." she called his name tenderly.
Roland, who was urgently pacing outside, suddenly stiffened awkwardly.
Isabel hugged his neck tightly and planted a kiss on his lips.
Roland froze. He was stiff with shock. He immediately pried Isabel away from him and pressed her head into his
chest.
Isabel seemed like she wanted to pull her head up but could not manage with his hand pressing her snugly into his
chest, burying her into his warmth.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHe was so strong that he managed to effortlessly support her entire weight while keeping her face buried into his
chest so she could not wring herself free at the same time.
The only thing she could do was whimper, "Roland, I feel awful! At least, let me kiss you..."
The only form of response she got was Roland quickening his footsteps.
Shortly after that, he threw her into the backseat of a car. It was a spacious backseat, but it was quite hot
compared to the chilly night outside.
Isabel was already feeling hot as it was. The moment she entered the car, she pulled off her coat and threw herself
on Roland's body. She hooked her arms around his neck and kissed him again.
Roland grimaced faintly underneath the faint lights.
He promptly pried her away and held her steady in the backseat with his hand on her waist so that she would stop
trying to crawl on top of him.
Soon, the previous two men approached the car. They were probably his assistants.
"Sir, should we send you two home?" one of them eyed Isabel and asked suggestively.
Roland did not seem impressed and practically roared, 'To the hospital!"
Isabel, who was still wriggling, around murmured, "Don't... don't go to the hospital. I can't go..."
