Chapter 507
He paused for a few seconds before shaking his head subconsciously. “No, why?”
“What about Aubree?”
“Aubree’s got a fierce temper and isn’t exactly the crafty type.”
“Right. Brielle said she’s knitting me a scarf.”
Andrew’s feet almost slipped off the pedals, nearly slamming the brakes in shock. As he
turned incredulously to glance at Max, he noticed a faint smile playing at the corners of
Max’s usually Stoic face.
Andrew was a rough–around–the–edges kind of guy, but even he sensed that this must’ve
been some sort of brag. He frowned deeply, his expression indescribable. He even
wondered if Max had been switched out at some point because this behavior was just too
outlandish.
Too sullen to speak, he drove in silence all the way until he dropped Max off. His mood
remained clouded even when he was alone in his car.
He pulled out his phone, tempted to call Aubree, but she had been avoiding him lately. If
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇthe wanted to see her, he’d have to go to her place.
Aubree had bought a house a while back, but since she and Andrew had been in an on–
and–off relationship, she usually stayed over at his place. Now, Andrew’s home was filled
with both of their belongings, from the entryway mat to the bed sheets, all of which
Aubree had picked out. He had grown accustomed to his space being overrun by Aubree’s
things, and he didn’t mind it one bit.
Andrew parked outside Aubree’s apartment building, idly tapping his fingers on the
steering wheel as he waited to see when she would appear. He waited from afternoon till
nightfall, patient as a panther lurking in the shadows for its prey.
Clad in a coat, Aubree walked slowly back home, accompanied by another taller and
seemingly male figure.
Andrew’s eyes narrowed, and he hunched over the steering wheel: He rarely paid
attention to Aubree’s personal life, including her friends and social circles, but now, the
sight of a strange man by her side sent a jolt through his spine.
Aubree was surprised to find Andrew had come over on his own. Her high heel had broken
earlier in the evening, and luckily, a neighbor from her building had given her a lift home.
She thanked him and headed towards her building, but then she was suddenly pulled into
a car before she could enter the lobby.
She nearly screamed, and her mouth was quickly covered by a firm hand. “It’s me.”
Recognizing his voice, Aubree relaxed, then immediately began to struggle in anger.
“What are you doing?”

Andrew wrapped an arm around her, his hand already wandering. “Who was that guy? Got
yourself another man on the side?”
Aubree scoffed, noticing several neighbors heading their way, If they caught on to the
commotion in the car, It would certainly lead to gossip, “Let me go first.”
But Andrew reclined the seat and pressed down on her, ruthlessly tearing at her clothes.
Startled, Aubree saw the neighbors drawing closer and nearly pleaded as she grabbed
Andrew’s hand. “Not like this, we’ll be discovered.”
However, Andrew always did as he pleased, brushing her hand aside and easily having his

sight of the trembling vehicle.
Her room was just upstairs, and yet Andrew couldn’t hold back, a blatant act of indecency.
Fuming, Aubree pounded on Andrew’s chest, but he was much taller and overpowering. In
a fit of rage, she bit down hard on his shoulder, tasting blood in her mouth.
The pain was hardly a bother to Andrew. In fact, he intensified his movements, making the
car shake even more violently. He didn’t live here and couldn’t care less what the
neighbors thought of him. And so, he also dismissed how they might judge Aubree. That
was none of his concern; all he wanted was the thrill of the moment.
Aubree closed her eyes, not wanting to imagine what the homeowners‘ chat group would
be saying later.
Three hours later, Andrew finished, planting a kiss on her lips. “Will you come back
tomorrow night?”
Aubree silently dressed, ignoring him. The car was heavy with the scent of their
encounter, and tears threatened to spill from her eyes as she dressed.
However, the dim light concealed them from Andrew’s notice. Without a response from
Aubree, he assumed she was still angry. Had he not satisfied her?
