Chapter 926: Peculiar Conscious Energy
The other A-tiers perked up their ears when they heard Beitang Gan’s words. It seemed that even though they too were A-tiers, they were not able to be a part of the thing that Nangong Zeming intended to bring Qin Feng into. This made them feel rather uneasy and jealous.
Unless Qin Feng had actually ascended to S-tier, no matter how much greatness he had achieved, there would always be people who would be envious of him.
“Enough!” Hu San raised his voice.
Nangong Zeming said, “He can do things that we cannot. This is good enough for me.”
Beitang Gan finally understood Nangong Zeming’s reasoning. Qin Feng was indeed much more powerful than him. Not only that, he was still young—which meant that Qin Feng had great potential to grow even stronger than what they were seeing right now.
Still, there was no need to continue on with this topic. This was not the right time to discuss it after all.
“So, what do we do next? Do we keep on following him?”
“Let’s follow the trail for a bit. At least by doing this, we would not meet much danger ahead.”
“A sound plan.”
As they determined their plan, suddenly a powerful energy burst out from afar, forming a massive cloak of light in the sky.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“What is that?”
Hu San was surprised to see this. As an ability user, he could sense that the light was actually a force of powerful conscious energy. Yet, this conscious energy was quite uniquely peculiar—it felt as though there was no consciousness controlling the energy at all.
“When there’s a unique natural phenomenon, there must be treasures ahead!” Nangong Zeming said excitedly.
Well, everyone in the scene knew this. As such, they were all quite eager to check it out. Thus, the A-tiers enthusiastically awaited for the three S-tier to give the call.
“We can take a closer look. But don’t get too close. Perhaps it’s something that is beyond our reach.” Hu San said.
Indeed, it could be a treasure. He wanted this powerful energy himself. However, he had also sensed there was great danger ahead. Still, Hu San could not help but to feel that this was a great opportunity for him.
Therefore, this was like a gamble. A gamble that would make or break him!
“Then, what are we waiting for? Let’s go!”
Qin Feng’s footprints too were leading toward the light. As such, if they kept on going onward, there should be no hostiles in their way.
Meanwhile, Qin Feng had also noticed the light.
“What’s that?”
Qin Feng only knew a little about Dragon Island from before he was reborn. As such, he did not really know much about what he would find on this island. This was why he was rather startled to see this.
Of course, he had also sensed the unique conscious energy from the light. In his consciousness, Qin Feng’s starglobe had started to spin rapidly. His Absorption Ability seemed to be raging eagerly, as though it had found a delicious meal!
This conscious energy had given Qin Feng a hunger to devour it.
No matter what lied ahead, there could only be good stuff there!
Thus, Qin Feng led his undead puppets and headed toward that way too. At the same time, the other creatures in the area too had begun to move toward the light.
Qin Feng lifted his legs and ran toward his destination at full speed.
Then, he saw them—two snow foxes were running on the snow, each with seven tails. They both were A-tier beast deities.
However, after seeing Qin Feng, the two beast deities did not seem to be bothered by him at all. Instead, they sped up and overtook Qin Feng, leaving fogs of snow behind their tails. If Qin Feng did not have extremely powerful consciousness, he would not even notice these two at all.
Qin Feng kept on moving onward while the undead puppets tailed from behind. Although the undead puppets were quite fast as well, Qin Feng had to slow down several times to allow them to keep up with him.
Thus, after travelling at high speed for half an hour, they had traveled for about two hundred kilometers.
One could feel the effects of the light from afar; now that they were close to the energy source, it was quite apparent how it would affect them.
Qin Feng could feel that his Absorption Ability had begun to devour the energy in the area, as though Qin Feng had already slain ultra beasts in the area.
The light was not as colorful as how it was when observed from afar. Right now, it felt as though the light was invisible, like a curtain of see-through fabric.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmQin Feng stood on a tall mountain, looking at a massive ice fissure—one that spanned for about ten kilometers and thousands of meters wide.
There was an army of ultra beasts below and across the ice fissure. Thousands and thousands of them were A-tier ultra beasts; and they were at least beast kings.
Their presence was so powerful that an ordinary ability user might explode to his death near these monstrosities.
Booom!
Two ultra beasts slammed onto one another, creating a shockwave of energy. One of them could not handle the impact and got slammed straight into the fissure.
However, the ultra beast did not fall into the fissure completely. Instead, a powerful energy lifted it up and held it in place in the air.
Then, a few seconds later, the ultra beast’s head exploded!
Qin Feng’s eyes shrunk when he saw this. That ultra beast was at least an S-tier. And yet, it died just like that? What kind of energy was that?
Still, despite how dangerous the energy was, the ultra beasts were still flocking toward it eagerly, as though they wanted to be as close to the fissure as possible. Yet, if they got too close to it, they would fall straight to their death.
“Could it be that… those ultra beasts that died… they consumed too much energy and exploded?”
Qin Feng had seen this kind of energy over-consumption numerous times. He had seen it plenty of times before he was reborn. He had seen it again when he was in the Perished Land.
It was not unheard of. It was quite common for any living being to explode to pieces when they consumed too much energy for their bodies to handle.
This also meant that there was definitely a treasure down there!
Not only that, in order to grab a spot near the fissure, these ultra beasts had begun to fight amongst themselves, killing one another as minutes passed, leaving countless of their corpses behind.
“This is a good chance! Undead Puppeteering!”
