Miracle Pill Maker Bullies the Boss
Chapter 1557 - 1557 Take Their Relationship To The Next Level1557 Take Their Relationship To The Next Level
Huo Yao poured herself some tea after they ordered lunch. She held the cup with her long, slender hands and looked very laid back.
J looked at Huo Yao as he sat across from her. Even though it was the first time they met, they felt like old friends and did not feel awkward around each other.
J laughed and said, “I used to think that you were some grimy middle-aged man.”
Huo Yao raised her brow and narrowed her eyes. “Why? Do you look down on women?”
“That is not true. I was just surprised.” J cleared his throat awkwardly.
Ten years ago, she created the first generation smart robot. Complicated emotions flooded his heart just thinking about it.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHis papa was 20 years old at best. This meant she created the robot when she was just 10 years old.
She was able to do seriously advanced computer programming at such a young age. How could anyone have achieved that?
Even though he was pretty decent himself, he was way out of her league.
J paused and said, “You’re a computer expert. Why did you choose Bioinformatics anyway?”
It was such a waste of her talent!
Huo Yao slowly took a sip of tea before she said confidently, “What makes you think I’m not good at Bioinformatics?”
J’s lips twitched. Sure enough, it was his daddy’s style to speak in this manner.
“Oh yes. Where are you from?” Huo Yao started chatting about random things.
J had seen Huo Yao’s file on Tsing University’s database. “Now that you mention it, we are from the same city.”
“Oh really?” Huo Yao had only spoken to J online and they never pried into each other’s lives.
Since his family name was rare, Huo Yao promptly thought about Meng Ying who shared the same last name. She smiled ambiguously as she asked him. “Do you live at No. 16, Shihuan Road?”
The moment J heard the address, a look of shock emerged on his face. “How did you know?”
Huo Yao’s lips twitched. “Do you really live there?”
“You can say so.” J nodded.
Huo Yao had an inkling about his identity now.
Meng Ying had wanted to introduce her cousin to her previously. She recalled Meng Ying mentioning that he was in the IT field.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmFrom the looks of it, it was quite the coincidence.
J was none other than Meng Jue. He glanced at Huo Yao as he contemplated. How did she know so much about him? Was she interested in him? Why else would she investigate his background?
Meng Jue instinctively straightened his back and smoothed out his clothes. On close scrutiny, a blush could be seen on his face.
If his father wanted to take their relationship to the next level, he was open to it.
Huo Yao failed to detect the look on Meng Jue’s face. She did not bother explaining that Meng Ying was her classmate. Before long, the food was sent over, so she proceeded to eat unhurriedly.
After lunch, Huo Yao went back to school.
Meng Jue sent her back to school. Before they parted ways, he cleared his throat and said to Huo Yao, “I will talk to your teacher directly about the project. I promise everything will go smoothly.”
Huo Yao raised her brow. She was unworried that something might go wrong. “Thanks then.”
Meng Jue looked at the school entrance awkwardly and added. “I’m going back to the HQ tomorrow.”
“Have a safe trip.” Huo Yao nodded. She paused and added. “Your papa will send you something later. I’m sure it will come in handy.”
Meng Jue’s cheeks twitched. “Why are you still calling yourself ‘papa’? Don’t you…”
He felt embarrassed to go on, so he stopped mid-sentence.
