"He's a dark Elementalist!" Spiderman Two shouted, stammering to let the words out. "Use light!"
My brow shot up, but with a single step, I appeared like an ethereal apparition; the Spear of Noctem howled, whipping through the darkness like a venomous snake, entering the neck of the foolish man who thought to use light against me. Removing his head with such ease, my right hand darted out almost simultaneously towards the closes target.
Taking away his initiative to move, the shadow sword swallowed my target in a matter of a blink of an eye, leaving nothing behind but the echoes of his faded screams.
"Roli!" The now five cried, cleaving their weapons towards me.
"Arcane Gale," I uttered, creating a magical domain where my spear began to dance, meeting all their strikes head-on. Powered by the Sin of Wrath and Pride, the Spear of Ncotem sucked away the very darkness leaving a realm of such emptiness; unease grew not just in me but in everyone as their movement began to stall.
Holding onto the Path of Abyssal Night, I pushed aside the unease. And the clanks of my spear against their weapons resounded like rain against iron.
*DING*DING*DING*DING*DING*DING*DING*DING*DING*
Dodging did not exist in the Path of Ren Shii; there was only dominance. While it was stupid never to dodge, if not downright primitive, it worked.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtParring and deadly Riposte was my new favorite friend. If someone attacked, my spear or sword would meet their blade.
And depending on how we clashed, I would follow up with a Riposte ending their lives. This way, my blade never stopped attacking; even when I was defending, I was attacking.
Sweat began to dot these aberrations as we battled. With the sin of Sloth acting as my defense, I slowly began to cut away at their bodies.
"I expected more from the Overworld," I conveyed with utter discontent. These people were weak as hell. Their eight legs were the only dangerous thing about them.
"You!~" One of them cried, and I could only shake my head, "Take this," he bellowed, opening his palm; disgust crept into my heart as a ball filled with the dao of light rippled through the scarlet cave.
"Rule," I uttered, with such coldness, that the very emptiness of darkness suddenly froze. The light that was building died as everything when stiff, be it the Abyssal Spiders that Lilith and the others had left behind or the five Heavenly Lords; they all froze as a wave of control pulsed from out of my soul.
Shock flashed over their eyes, but it faded as their bodies broke down into ash, leaving nothing behind but the cold air of the Abyss.
Silence slipped into my ears, and I gazed down at my hands holding onto the Spear of Noctem.
'Rule' allowed me to do just about anything I could comprehend; I only needed to apply my Dao to it. However, to freeze the Abyss and its monsters was not something I should be able to do. The Fiends of the Abyss were… They were monsters, absolute monsters. Had they existed in the Bed of Chaos, where everyone didn't feel nerf, merely their presence would cause planets to wither.
My Monarch ability should not allow me to control them as I did to these Heavenly Lords, whose state of being was, in fact, weaker than the bodies of any Abyssal Fiend despite being stronger. These Abyssal Monsters didn't have a limit on their power, despite all Lilith did to weaken them. Like Devils or Demons, they were peak-level beings.
Curiosity mixed with anticipation shimmered in my stomach as I hooked my spear onto my back. I had a few theories, like that mysterious energy entering me or maybe the Path of Abyssal Night, granting me authority over the Abyss, but nothing was conclusive.
Clenching my fist, I suddenly had a dark thought as a shadow flame appeared in my palm. These flames were a combination of my Comprehension of Darkness and Fire that could take the form of anything. It was a racial ability that every one of my people had.
Chanting the Path of Abyssal Night, the Shadow Flames glowed a scarlet light over the edge of the flame. Closing my eyes, I thought of the Tarnishing.
These flames were the most basic type of ability I had.
Willing the Path of Abyssal Night to taint the core of my flame, a heavy sweat trickled down my brow, trailing down my spine, as my forsaken blood began to push apart the components of the Fourth Heaven within my flame. Allowing the Path to fill in the blanks with its own specific elements.
My heart thundered into my ear as I stood still waiting, lost in this strange process of tainting my flame.
Hours slipped by till a sudden feeling of accomplishment rippled through me, and my eyes opened to a flame. An ordinary black flame that gave off a different type of aura. An aura that didn't belong to the Abyss nor the Fourth Heaven.
It felt out of place. eerily so
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"What is this?" I muttered, opening my left hand as the flames of hellfire appeared. Eyeing the two black flames, I hesitated for a moment and drew them close, only to watch in amazement as the Flames of Hellfire seemed to—Flee.
The Flames of Hellfire shot up my arm, burning with a searing heat that overwhelmed my Tarnished Flame, but for some reason, despite it being clearly the strongest. It fled.
Questions bubbled within my soul as I sucked in a deep breath. Struggling to even stand from using too much Divinity, I decided to continue my experiment. Tainting these flames wasn't my goal. I knew I could do something this simple. I'm fucking Arsene Snow.
Sucking in a heavy breath, despite the unease dripping down my back, the Sigil of the Seven Sins all appeared at once.
"Lilith said, start small; well, this is a loophole, right? I started small, and then I added something big. Make sense to me!" I nodded, making sense of my actions.
Wiping the sweat off my brow, I looked up and smiled, "Izavith, I don't know if your watching, but you won't want to make Lilith sad, right? You know if I die. She dies. This isn't blackmail. But…well. Yeah. Save me if I'm about to die."
"Arsene, what are you saying," the peeping voice of Lilith sounded.
"About to make a new Sin!"
"Huh! Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!
