"Welcome to Blood Field VII; you are at Castle 03. if you follow me, I will take you to the passage to the blood field," said a middle-aged Leader before he started walking.
It had not been a minute since we had come here, did not even get used to strange pressure that descended on us before we being veered into the actual blood field. These people really want us to kill some Grimm Monsters that they rushing us like it.
A few minutes later, we have appeared in front of the giant gate, which is definitely above ten meters tall.
"Outside the gate is the actual blood field, I hope you all will kill the lots of Grimm Monsters and return safely in a week," He said with a practiced smile which helps one feel relaxed couldn't help but make me feel even more irritated.
Krrrr!
The huge gate opened, and a vibrant forest appeared before us, though it was with no moonlight and starlight, which did no matter to people like us. We could still see everything as if day, with hundreds of abilities.
I could even see better than a day and could feel the gentle wind of the forest, which brought me faint sounds of battles that were being fought across this forest.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Best of luck, you all," said the middle-aged man and gently pushed us out before closing the giant gates behind us.
"Prick!"
A couple of people cursed around me; I cursed him for his rude behavior before focusing on the environment in front of us and the faint sounds of fighting along with a smell of blood that the gentle wind brough to me.
Half of the people immediately left, while half remained on the spot. Neela and I are the ones that left.
There is no need to waste time in staying that spot; we have only one week to finish up the mission that Lord Micheal has given us. The sooner we finish, the sooner we will be free from its pressure and able to do the other things.
"Ida, we should not act with hastiness," Neela said with her eyes looking around everywhere and her soul sense stretched to the limit.
She really did not have much combat experience. If she had, she would not have been behaving like a skittish cheek looking for the slightest danger, which couldn't help but make me smile.
The Blood Field VII is for Leaders class Tyrants only; there are no Masters here, nor Elites. Though elites could come here, they are not allowed.
'Ida, don't take this place as a joke, or both of us will die,' Neela said telepathically while glaring at me. 'I am not taking things as a joke, Neela. I am not into acting as skittish as you,' I said, which seemed to make her angry as her glare became even more intense.
'Calm down a little, Neela, and control your chaotic soul sense; it will immediately alert the Grimm Monsters of our presence immediately,' I said calmly, which seemed to calm down Neela and her gaze softened.
'Calm mind is a most important thing in a places like this; calmer we are, the better we will be able to deal with any situation,' I added.
This place is dangerous and had even restrictions on the leaders too. The range and power of soul sense are reduced by 75%, and it also affects other aspects by 50%. There is also supression of sound, aura, and other things.
The people like Neela, who had not gone to many ruins and explored strange environments, would feel quite suffocated here.
'We will move north slowly and find a Grimm Monster, and if we think we would kill it, we will attack.' I said to her, and Neela nodded in affirmation.
With the plan made, we began to move slightly faster. There is no reason behind choosing the direction other than picking a direction. The tens of outposts of both are littered around the forest, so there is no reason to pick a specific direction unless one has to go to the specific place.
We do not have any specific place or target in mind, other than a condition that we would not fight closer to any outpost; we don't want to be spied for what we do.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmIt is quite hard to spy on me, especially for my level. My bloodline is metal and wind elemental, and I share a connection with these elements. If anyone got too close to use, the wind would inform me immediately.
Hun!
For about fifteen minutes, we did not come across anyone, be it human or Grimm Monster, before sensing the presence of the Grimm Monster.
It is further than my soul sense could stretch but is within a limit of wind could inform me of things. The wind did not give me the clarity like a soul sense, but it still provided me with enough information to make a decision.
This Grimm Monster I had sensed is Peak Leader, and even though I had fought against the peak leaders and even been able to kill, this one was too powerful.
Even when I have Neela, I will probably have to run away if I fight against it. I would have definitely taken a risk with Neela's power if she had good combat experience, but unfortunately, she did not, and it might seem harsh, but against such a powerful enemy, she might become a liability instead of an asset.
Thankfully, the Grimm Monster moved in the opposite direction, and within a few seconds, it had disappeared; even my wind could barely sense it.
Hun!
Ten minutes passed when suddenly, another Grimm Monster sensed my wind but to my shock. It is coming in our direction, and for a moment, I had planned to move when I noticed the Grimm Monster was coming toward us.
'How?' I asked myself and understood a reason three seconds later when it entered my soul range, and I saw what kind of Grimm Monster it was.
It seemed like our luck is quite shitty to come across this bastard with a sharp nose. No wonder it had sensed me before even my wind had sensed it.
