'Its time,' I said as my seed had reached the center of the core, and just as it did, it glowed even brighter for a moment before releasing the dense pink wave.

It is a scanning wave, I have used nearly all my supply of rule-bending crystal in this seed, and half of it is being used for this scanning wave. It is not easy to scan the core, but I have prepared for it without caring for the resources I use.

It is an extremly important step, as it will give all the data I need to know whether the Grand Commanders' condition could be healed or not. As of now, everything I have seen tells me that Grand Commander has merely two months to live, and while I could extend it by a few months, I did not see any way to heal her.

Her condition is far too gone to be used by my usual methods.

The scanning wave spread, and as it spread, its shine began to get dimmer at dimmer. The pure lunar frost elemental core is extremly powerful with many defensive mechanisms, and even though they could not sense the scanning wave or seed, the powerful energies around are assaulting it nonetheless.

If it had sensed it like it senses the existence of coming soul senses, it would freeze it before it even touches the seed.

Even Grand Commander could not see the core despite it being part of her core; being broken and unstable made a lot of things harder. The core did not freeze her soul sense like it did with her others but repel it, barely letting it touch it.

I know it because I have sensed her dense soul sense remaining in the periphery of the core.

It took barely a second for a scanning wave to reach the end of the elemental core, but it felt like hours, and it had lost more than half of its shine. It begins to recede, and I felt like it might not be able to reach back to the core before its power is completely spent.

I hope nothing of that sort happens; all the hard work and resources I spent on it will go to waste, and so is finding a way to cure the Grand Commanders' condition.

A second felt like an hour, but it passed, and the scanning wave came back, and it survived, albeit barely; by the time it had reached the seed, it had nearly become invisible. If it had been even a moment late, it would have been completely destroyed.

It did not, and I have got the complete scan of the Grand Commanders' broken elemental core.

'Run!'

As the wave went back to the seed, the already prepared seed spent toward the exit with its full power. It had already prepared, and now it is making its way with all its power.

The seed has accomplished nearly all its core, except for one; initially, I was planning to collect extremly dense lunar frost energy, but as the seed entered the core, I changed my mind seeing something else. I now plan to take the part of the core itself.

In the biggest gap of the core, there are thousands of tiny lunar element crystals floating. These are very small; one could not even see them with the naked eye but possess so much power that they would even Grand Lord if they dared to touch with the naked hand.

Seed opened its mouth like a monster and took the crystals one after another before closing just as fast.

The seed has only taken five among thousands of tiny lunar frost crystals; the seed had taken only five because taking more might alert the core and also because it is what it could take. Those crystals are extremely powerful, and my seed could not store more than five.

It took seven seconds for the seed to come out of the core, and it had lost 95% of its power in doing that, but it did not matter as the 5% is more than enough to get out of the frozen boundary.

A few seconds later, the seed entered the formation, leaving all the frost behind.

As it entered the formation, a change happened in the seed; it split into two parts; one came toward me, while the other remained in the formation.

A minute later, I opened my eyes and found everybody was looking at me, including the Grand Commander.

"Grandmaster, what do you think?" asked the old lord of glass and lady Vivian in unison, with hope and uncertainty filling their eyes.

"Grand Commander had only had about two months to live," I said, and I could see no one was surprised hearing that, but still, deep grief couldn't help but appear on their faces. "This silly girl, I told her not looser her seal; if she hadn't done that, she would have longer to live," said the old lord of glass.

"I saw the opportunity and took it, and I do not regret it; before I die, I will try to take a Grand Lord with me," said the Grand Commander with eyes filled with conviction.

"You silly girl," said Lady Vivian as she gently caressed the cheek with tear-filled eyes. "Is there any way to extend her life, Grandmaster? You have found a way for me; there must be a way for her," asked the lord of glass pleadingly.

There are very few things that could be made a Grand Lord plead, especially the one as old as him, who had seen and experienced everything in his more than four hundred years of life. His words are a testament to how much he loved his student.

"Yes; it will cost us a fortune, but we will be able to extend the life of Grand Commander by six to eight months," I said, and I could see the lord of glass and others taking a small sigh of relief, but the frown on Lady Vivian's face became deeper.

"Is there a way to save Hera fully? You have saved the students of Lord Bradford," she said, greatly surprising me, and I looked at Patriarch Bradford, who nodded at me.

He had warned me not to tell the council or any other about the condition of the twins. While the world knows that twins are dead, the council knows they are alive, and hearing his words, I did not think he had told others about his student's real condition, but it seemed like I was wrong.

"There is a huge difference between the condition of Grand Commander and twins; the biggest difference is a time of awakening."

"Grand commander had awakened her' Body' when she was six or seven years old, and it was not a complete awakening, while the twins awakened it when they were over eighteen, they had done it stages; there was ample indication for that which had given us enough time to prepare for their awakening," I explained.

I am sure before me, they have explored all the options, including Inheritance, that I have used on twins. The same thing could not be done to Grand Commander; her Inheritance is too powerful, and even if removed somehow, the broken elemental core will destabilize, killing her and everyone around her.

They are intelligent enough to understand it.
