"I don't have any money. Would you be willing to part with a few crystals?" I said to him as we reached the teleportation gate.

"You are Primary-III, more than capable of earning your living," he said and pushed me into the teleportation gate.

A second later, appeared on the other side in a busy plaza.

I moved away from the teleportation gate and looked around the plaza. It is a morning here and everybody seemed to be going to their places; I should go to search for a place to work.

I have money in my core, but I can't use it. This damn bracelet is hanging on my wrist.

It is invasive, but I could isolate it, but I don't want it. The risk is too much. Getting caught would send me to jail or something else might happen.

I don't want to take a risk anymore. So, it is better; I find work that pays well. So, I could buy practice resources.

I would have needed to do the same thing. If I took out the crystals from my core; I am empty of the resources I need.

They are opening a new ruin, which they have no idea about. I want to be prepared and for it; I need resources. My core did not have a resource; I had used them all in jail.

I put my soul sense into the bracelet and soon, the map of the ardan district appeared in front of me.

It is where I am restricted to, I couldn't move away from its range. Which is not bad, considering it is a pretty huge district and seems to have everything I need.

Now the question is finding a job; not a normal job, but one that pays well. That I would be able to buy the first batch of resources I need for my treatment in a day or two.

I am rapidly closing on the inheritance, and I have to do the same with the treatments. The blood-red flames have wiped out the blockades; so, it will be much easier for the treatment to work.

I had already modified a few methods to suit the new conditions.

There are a couple of things I could do, but I have to do the less risky one. My first choice was to cook, but I immediately rejected it; it is too personal; I don't want to reveal this fake identity.

The same with formation. It is related to one of my biggest secrets, not to mention it might bring unwanted attention.

That leaves alchemy; it is a rare trade, but I could reveal it. As most of the time, I keep it hidden and use it for my own purpose. So, it wouldn't be much problem if I reveal it.

With that thought, I looked for the location of the employment guild.

'It is a little far, but I should be able to reach it within fifteen minutes,' I said to myself and moved. If I used all my speed, I would get there in less than two minutes, but the city had speed restrictions.

I moved through the district, watching the business, people, and other things.

It is a beautiful city, with a penchant for domes. So different from Klahan and Haln. Well, it shouldn't surprise me, considering I am on a completely different continent.

Fifteen minutes and twelve seconds later; I reached the nine-story employment guild.

I looked around and walked to the second floor, before stepping into the alchemy sections. There are thousands of notices related to alchemy, from the requirement of rare resources to employment opportunities.

I looked at all the employment opportunities and my clones selected eight that might be useful to me.

It would have been great. If I would have been able to go higher, there are better opportunities there, but I would need to be a member for that.

Currently, I do not have money to eat, much less pay for a membership. It is going to make getting employment difficult, as I do not have an Alchemist guild membership.

"There is no loss in trying," I said and walked out of the guild.

The first place is not far, I reached there in less than a minute. It is a twelve-story green building, with a sign of a beaker on fire.

Halnam's alchemy.

I walked into the building and saw the reception and walked toward it. I stopped in front of a man with glowing freckles.

"Hello, I have seen your ad for employment," I said to the man. "Oh, are you an alchemist?" he asked. "Yes," I replied.

"What grade are you?" he asked. "Grade 3," I replied.

There are nine standard grades of the alchemist. Grand 3 means, I could craft alchemical products of Primary-III grade.

"Can I see your badge for confirmation?" she said, and my expression turned a little awkward. "You see, the thing is, I have been robbed. They have taken everything, including my badge,"

"It is the reason why I wanted to take the job. So, I could earn some money and apply for the job." I said, and the man's expression turned serious.

"I am sorry, but the badge from the alchemy guild is a must for the interview," she said.

"I am really good. Just give me a chance to prove myself," I said, and his expression hardened further. "Please leave or I will call security," he said.

Hearing that, I sighed and turned away.

Next two hours, and in eleven jobs, I heard the same words again and again. They want an alchemy guild badge. Without it, they aren't willing to give me a chance.

I can't blame them. It is a standard practice, but I really need a job.

I am not moving toward the twelve locations; it is on one of the less opulent areas of the district. It is a nice area, but not rich as I have been visiting, in the last two hours.

Seven minutes later, I stopped in front of the three-story house. It is a nice house, with a honey feel.

I walked down its stairs and rang the bell.

For a minute, there was no response, before a soul sense scanned over me and a second later, the door opened.

It was opened by a beautiful woman, who looked to be in her mid-thirties. She had blue curved horns and thin blue wings like a butterfly; they made her look very beautiful.

She is a peak Primary but had a weak aura. From what I could tell, she is suffering from something nasty.

"Are you here for the alchemy job?" she asked. "Yes," I replied.

"What grade you?" she asked. "Grade 3," I replied. I had answered this question so many times that it come smoothly from my mouth.

"Can you show me your badge?" she asked. "I don't have it. I was robbed, they took everything, including my badge." I replied and her expression turned alert, while she gripped her doors a little more tightly.

"Why don't you get a new badge?" she asked. "I don't have money and since I am new to the city, I can't ask anyone for it," I answered.

"I am sorry. I can't be let in for an interview without a job," he said and moved to close the door.

"Please, give me a chance. You can kick me out. If you didn't like my skills," I said, and she opened her mouth to reject me.

"Give him a chance, Mom; he seemed nice," said the youthful voice from behind her.
