"Brown pools," said Ragas as we stopped.
In front of us, are different size pools; some are big as a lake, while the smaller ones are at the size of puddles.
They are called brown water pools; It is a resource specific to this place.
It is an amazing resource that couldn't be taken out, as it will immediately lose its effects. The moment one puts it in storage.
It is connected to this place and gets power from it; taking it away from it will be useless.
Earth Sovereigns would kill for this; yes, emphasis on Earth Sovereign, which we are not.
Though it is the only thing that will save us from storms. Many records stated that people had survived the storms by hiding in these pools.
All those were Earth Sovereigns.
"Careful, it's dangerous!" warned Ragas as I dipped my finger into it; it only stayed inside for a fraction of a second before coming out, but the energies that came from it had fucked me up.
Puh Puh Puh!
I vomited the blood a couple of times before I stopped.
"That was an idiotic thing to do," he said angrily before his expression eased up. "Though, not that I could blame you; I am myself preparing to jump in it, the moment the storm arrives,"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"We only need to survive inside for a minute inside and we will survive," he added, letting out a mirthless laugh, but it is clear by his eyes he is planning to just do that.
There is no other option.
"Take this luxren berry. If we are lucky, it will be able to keep us alive till the storm is passed," he said, giving me a berry, which is shining in gentle light.
The berry shocked me; this is an extremely powerful healing medicine. Its healing energies might keep us alive in the pool long enough till the storm passed, but chances of that are lower than 50%.
Though it is still the best option, I have to survive in the pool.
"Than"
I opened my mouth to thank him and even let out the words, before suddenly stopping, with my eyes widening.
"What happened?" he asked, noticing the change in my expression.
My gamble is paid off; my clones have analyzed the energies of the pool. They say I have something that will help me to survive the pool. It is much better than the berries, giving real fifty-fifty chances to survive.
Three seconds later, two jars appeared in front of me, filled with black wet soil. Made from tar cloud soil.
"Apply it all over your body, as thick as you can," I said and started applying; there are less than thirty seconds remaining and I don't want to waste even a single second.
"What is it?" he asked. I didn't respond.
I am busy using my energy to apply the soil to my body, to respond to him and not I want to.
Seeing, I didn't answer. He took the soil from the bucket with energy and begin applying it, but a stopped a second later, with eyes wide.
I have never seen him in shock; he barely changes his expression on the journey. No resources had interested him, not even things from the wonders, but the moment soil touched his body, a shock appeared on his entire face.
"Where do you get it?" he asked, and I didn't care for his question. I kept applying the soil.
He looked at me for a second, before starting to apply the soul, and he was being delicate about it. Not letting even a single drop fall to the ground.
It took me four seconds to apply the first coat and about to start the second coat when my clones had to get info on the pool with further analysis, and a moment later, purple-green sludge appeared in front of me.
It looked like; it had been hastily mixed, and it is. Which will reduce its effects by 40%, but I will make up for it through the quantity.
"What is it?" he asked, immediately noticing the sludge. "Useful to me, useless to you," I said and immediately started applying the coat and finished it a second two and a half seconds.
The moment I finished, I started applying another coat of soul, before applying another coat of purple-green sludge.
This sludge will increase the chances of my survival while providing me with other benefits. Sadly, it is useless for Ragas, as it has been crafted for my needs.
He seemed to have understood something. He took out a fine herbal mix and begin applying it over the clay coat.
When I smelled it, my eyes couldn't help but widen. If I didn't have a sludge, I would have asked for it.
Soon, I finished with three-four coats of clay and three coats of sludge; applying further will not provide any benefit, and nor I had time.
"Jump!"
He said, two and half seconds and I did immediately, while behind me, the brown walls of the giant tunnel begin to turn red, and thick yellowish-violet energy begin to come out of it.
Splash!
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmI splashed into the pool before submerging inside, and a second later, I saw the thick yellowish-violet energy touching the pool.
For a moment, I got a scared feeling; the energy would pass through, but it didn't.
Instantly, relief flooded my veins, but it lasted for a fraction of a second before another storm of energy hit me.
It was dense that it felt thicker than honey.
It took only a fraction of a second before the first wave filled in my body, making me feel like I am boiling in lava and the most damning thing is, I couldn't even open my mouth to scream or spasm.
The moment I jumped into the pool. I locked my physical movements. In fear, I will move and crack layers of sludge and soil.
It is a good thing I did because I would have done just that.
The energy of the pool came inside, but as it passed through the layer of the soul. It got filtered, and many of its elements are left stuck in the soul, while energy contains the soul stuck in it.
As the filter passed through the first layer of sludge, its energies attached itself to the tide before entering a second layer of soil.
When it filtered further; not only energy from the pool but also from the sludge, and more energies of the soil, got attached to it.
As it entered the second layer of sludge, its energies had attached to the filtered energy, but not all of it.
Only a select type of energies and a few other types of energies, were tried but got repelled by the filtered energy.
Once again, the filtered energy entered the soul later and got filtered even more and further energies of the soul, attached itself to it, before moving to the third layer of sludge, where even fewer energies got attached.
Finally, the filtered energy entered the last layer of clay. There is barely any filtration occurred and even fewer energies attached themselves.
Though, I didn't regret doing it.
