Chapter 1368
Stella could not help but laugh when she heard what Estelle had said. 'No wonder they call her Tiger. It seems like
she's ready to bite at any moment,' she thought.
Although Stella had failed to uncover the identity of the female lead, she decided to stay and rehearse lines with
Leighton.
Despite not attending acting school, Leighton's talent and genuine passion for the art shone through. He would
throw himself into his roles every time he performed his scenes.
Stella would offer him a few pointers even though she felt somewhat unqualified to be an acting coach. At the same
time, Leighton was a fast learner. He would listen to Stella’s suggestions and implement them into his performance.
Estelle was left in awe after watching them rehearse one of the scenes. "With a bit more effort, you might even
snag an award this year," she said as she saw Leighton's potential in acting.
He had risen to fame through an idol talent show.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtConsidering the current state of the entertainment industry in Hustuabourg, the prospects of becoming a successful
singer or dancer were limited. So, Leighton had been actively pursuing roles in idol dramas in hopes of switching
careers.
However, directors often look for young actors when it comes to this genre of films. Since there was no way
Leighton could secure a spot in idol shows forever, Estelle had been focusing on getting him roles in more serious
dramas and movies starting this year.
While the shows Leighton acted in often achieved high ratings, his acting skills were still a work in progress.
Nevertheless, Estelle believed he could bridge the gap and successfully transition into the field after watching his
rehearsal.
As Stella and Leighton were about to continue rehearsing, they heard a commotion outside. It turned out that
Stuart had called for everyone to gather.
Despite having conducted a camera test earlier, Stuart believed it was an inauspicious day for filming. Thus, he had
arranged for a priest to perform a ritual to ward off bad luck. Everyone was to participate in the ceremony to bring
good fortune to the production.
Soon, the three people previously in the dressing room heard a lively buzz from behind them. The female lead had
arrived. The cheers and applause indicated her considerable popularity.
Leighton was not interested in greeting her, but Stella was curious. She turned around and was taken aback upon
seeing the person surrounded by the crowd.
"I can't believe it's her."
"Who is it?" Leighton followed Stella's gaze to see who she was talking about. He then muttered a curse under his
breath, ready to leave.
Stuart seemed to have anticipated Leighton's reaction and quickly stopped him, "Don't make a scene. You've
already signed the contract."
"I can pay you the fee for breaching the contract if you want, " Leighton said with a cold face before removing his
tie and heading toward the exit.
Stella had not quite grasped the situation when a female voice said, "Two years later, and you're still as impulsive as

Leighton froze in his tracks. He looked at the woman with a piercing gaze and sneered, "Two years later, and your
attitude is still as insufferable as ever, Nicole Aspen."
Hearing that, Nicole smiled and said, "I can't help it when it's my signature style, just like how you have a habit of
talking back."
Stella's eyes darted between the two actors as she processed the information. 'So... these two know each other...?
It appears they have some unresolved issues, given Leighton's threat to withdraw from the project upon seeing
her.'
'Had they worked together before?' Stella asked herself. She regretted not paying more attention to the actors'
previous works and appearances, feeling frustrated for being out of the loop.
Leighton’s expression turned sour when he heard what Nicole uttered next. "Mr. Winfield, please find a replacement
for my role. I'll cover the fees for the breach of contract," she said and turned to leave.
Stella was about to stop Nicole when she said, "Mr. Winfield, I know an actor with a great appearance and
exceptional acting skills. He's a perfect fit for the role. Would you consider allowing my friend to audition since Mr.
Hall has acknowledged his inability to handle the job?" asked Nicole.
