Chapter 1807
As soon as Aurora entered the room, she overheard Dahlia speaking in a hushed tone, looking nervous as she held
her phone, engaged in a conversation.
What Dahlia had said left Aurora deeply shocked.
"Are you saying Cordelia knows about it too? No wonder she immediately agreed with Stella staying in the
Royalpark Villa!
"Calm down? How can I calm down? It’s easy for you to say! If Keegan remembers what happened, I'll be the first
person he kicks out of this house!
"She's been taking that medicine for so long, why can she still get pregnant?
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Absolutely not!
"We can’t let the baby stay. Keegan would never allow her to live in the Royalpark Villa without the baby. I'll have
nothing to worry about as long as he can’t remember what happened.
■
Aurora's face turned pale. She tightly gripped the glass to prevent her hands from trembling.
However, the sound of the door closing caught Dahlia's attention, causing her to abruptly end the call. Upon seeing
Aurora, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Collecting herself, Aurora spoke softly, "I knocked for a while but didn't hear a response, so I came in. Mom, Corrin
made you some collagen drink."
"Why are you bringing it? Let the maids handle it. I didn't raise you to be a servant," Dahlia remarked, echoing
similar sentiments she had shared before. This time, though, Aurora felt differently about it.
'Grandma once said nobody is born to serve. It's just a job, and one should never feel superior. Life can take
unexpected turns. When the tables are turned, consider how others might treat you,' Aurora reflected silently.
Aurora lowered her gaze. "I need to talk to you about something, so I brought it over."
Dahlia did not take it. Instead, she checked outside the door, ensured no one was nearby, and closed it again.
"Put it on the table."
Dahlia motioned for Aurora to approach. As Aurora drew nearer, Dahlia asked, "What did you want to talk to me
about?"
It dawned on Aurora why she had come. "I don't want to meet Mrs. Wood's son. Can you decline on my behalf?"
Dahlia paused, a frown appearing on her face. "Why? You're not still thinking about Marshall, are you?
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Mrs. Wood's son is pursuing a Ph.D., he's exceptional in every aspect. Their family's company is going public soon.
"Many socialites are vying for his attention, but he's only interested in you. What's not to like about him?"
Aurora clenched her fingers and bit her lip, remaining silent.
"Say something! Keegan is already giving me enough trouble, and now you're acting like this. Her son has good
manners, a strong family background, and is even more knowledgeable than you. Moreover..." Dahlia paused
before continuing, "Don't be so selective. Consider what you bring to the table when choosing your partner."
Aurora's expression immediately turned somber.
Sensing she might have been too harsh, Dahlia attempted to reassure Aurora, "I didn't mean it like that. I wouldn't
consider him if he weren't a good match. But Mrs. Wood's son is genuinely an exceptional man. I've met him a few
times, and he's always so well-mannered. He asks about you often. He genuinely admires you.
"I don't want you to marry young either. But Keegan left most of his wealth to Stella. Can't you see what's
happening? He doesn't care about us at all. I'm just trying to find you a good husband so that you'll have someone
to support you in the future."
