Chapter 619
Felicity scoffed. "Stella is the best. She could get anything done if she wanted to," She spoke as she
glared at Keegan. "She doesn't need a man!’
Keegan kept quiet.
Vermont tried to hold back his laughter as he wrapped his arm around Felicity's shoulder. "Miss bandit,
why are you still just a stage supervisor if your best friend is so impressive?"
Felicity shook his arm off and glowered at him before she said, "Your friends are only twenty-
something, and they're already CEOs of different listed companies. You're thirty, yet you've achieved so
few things in your field. All you know is to mess around with women. I would die of shame if I were
you."
The edge of Vermont's mouth twitched. 'I didn't expect this woman to be meaner than Stella.'
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFelicity went to look for something to eat after she said that.
"Nothing nice would ever come out of that filthy mouth of yours. You'll never be attractive to any man!"
Vermont said.
He was about to whine about it to Keegan. However, he turned around and found that Keegan was not
listening to their conversation at all. Instead, he was staring directly at Stella... and Trevor.
Keegan looked very tense.
'Why is Trevor always pestering Stella like a fly?' he thought.
Then, he asked Vermont with an angry face, "What advantage do you think Trevor has over me?"
’Advantage... He hasn't gotten married before, of course," said Vermont. Keegan kept quiet.
Then, he gritted his teeth and said, ’I'm serious!"
Vermont said, "So am I! People always prefer unmarried men."
Keegan put on an angry face. "Did you hear how politely Stella calls his name? She'd never done that
to me!”
'Is he really getting mad over something so trivial?'
Vermont was surprised. Then, he consoled Keegan. "Calm down. There's no need to be so angry over
this. I’m sure that she'll call you Mr. Ex- husband very politely now."
Keegan's face darkened, and he felt like throwing Vermont into the lake. Instead, he thought to himself,
'Why am I friends with him?'
"But, it looks like Trevor treats your ex-wife very well. I've never really seen her smile like this."
Keegan glowered at him. "Do you want to know why?"
’Yeah?"
"Stella signed a contract with Trevor, and now she works for Elegant Media.
Vermont stood there in shock as if he was struck by lightning.
"How could she do that?! I gave her an offer first!"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmKeegan felt a lot better after looking at the surprised look on Vermont's face.
He wanted Vermont to feel just as awful as him.
Then, he turned around and said to Aldor, "Find out who gave her the cross necklace and opal.”
Stella saw that Cordelia was still taking pictures with Lancelot after speaking with Trevor, so she took a
piece of cake and went to look for Felicity.
She walked past Olivia with the cake in her hand, but Olivia's arm bumped into her. The plate was too
small, and it fell off after that. It would have fallen on her long dress if Stella did not react on time.
Stella looked at the cake on the floor before shifting her cold gaze to Olivia.
Olivia acted as if she did not know what had happened. She said, "Ah, Miss Jewell, I'm so sorry. I didn't
see you there.”
Then, she smirked. "Ms. Jewell, do you not plan to change your last name? Oh, my bad. It wouldn't be
possible since you don't know who your biological father is, right?"
Dahlia treated Olivia badly just now, so she wanted to take her anger out on Stella.
'Dahlia wouldn't have scolded me if Stella didn't steal the spotlight!' Olivia thought to herself.
Stella glared at her. "Mrs. Chapman, you should worry about yourself first before trying to vent your
anger out on somebody else. You need to be aware of what's actually happening around you."
