Joshua was in a dilemma. He opened Yoel’s WhatsApp and sent a message, (Are you sure your investigation is

The next morning, Cynthia woke up in her room, feeling confused. She could only remember sitting in the

passenger seat of Joshua’s car. falling asleep from exhaustion.

Cynthia dismissed these thoughts and was about to put on her shoes when she realized she was wearing what

seemed to be pajamas.

“Don’t you think you’re a bit heartless?” Joshua was not fully awake yet. He frowned and sat up on the sofa, feeling

a headache. ” weren’t for me carrying you back last night, you would still be sleeping in the car.”

“Do you want me to thank you? Cynthia did not sound friendly at all. She was not the type to forget old grudges just

because someone did her a lavor once.

Joshua rubbed his forehead.
