Cynthia understood immediately. “Would you have believed what she said?”

“Why were you with Mitchell? Joshua’s heart began to race at the mention of that name, and he was filled with a

They waited for a while longer before Mitchell arrived in his car, wearing a common gray suit and a pair of gold–

rimmed glasses. He briefly greeted the others before sitting down beside Cynthia with a smile, starting a casual

conversation with her.
