It was better to go early than late and resolve things.

Upon hearing that, Jonathan’s face lit up with joy, and he finally let go of the burden he

was carrying. “I’ll wait for you at the company. Let me know when you arrive.”

“Okay,” Cynthia replied.

After hanging up the phone, she informed Moe about the matter. Moe distributed the

documents she had just signed and drove her there.

By the time they arrived, it was already half past ten.

Upon hearing that Cynthia had arrived, Jonathan immediately greeted her and took her to

his office. Unfortunately, Cynthia had no intention of staying here for long. After obtaining

the position of investment advisor and signing the contract, she planned to leave.

“Cyn!” Jonathan called her.

Cynthia stopped in her tracks.

“There’s one more thing.” Jonathan took an invitation letter from his office drawer and

walked over to her. “Old Man Neal sent us an invitation to his 80th birthday party. What do

From a business partnership standpoint, they should attend. Not going could raise

suspicions and create unnecessary trouble. However, Cynthia’s relationship with the Neal

family was special…

If she did not want to go, he would not go either.

“Let’s go,” Cynthia replied simply.

“Are you sure?” Jonathan was somewhat worried about her and asked indirectly, “You and

Joshua are already divorced, right? Will he make things difficult for you if you go?”

“I’m going as a representative of the Yates Group, not as Cynthia, Cynthia explained. Even

“It’s been a week, and you still haven’t come up with a simple plan. If you can’t handle it,

then just leave!”

“You’re making things difficult for me. I haven’t learned this before. How am I supposed to

know how to do it?”

“If you don’t know, why don’t you ask?”

“I simply don’t know. Why don’t you have someone else do it if you’re so impatient?”

“Do you believe that I can fire you right now?”

“Fire me?” The girl responded with a hint of disdain as if she had heard a hilarious joke.

“Do you have that authority? Do you know who is behind me?”

Initially, Cynthia did not intend to intervene. However, she could not turn a blind eye upon

hearing that someone in the company was brazenly using connections.

The Yates Group was not only Jonathan’s but also her mother’s endeavor. Hence, she could

not ignore it now that she had witnessed it, as she would not tolerate such a parasite in

the company.

“I’m actually curious to know who’s behind you,” Cynthia said, holding the contract in her

hand, dressed in professional office attire that enhanced her already strong presence due

to her height and high heels.

As soon as she appeared, the entire planning department paused, subconsciously

assuming she was a new executive or a business partner.

“Who is she? She’s so beautiful

“She’s so classy! I really want to be friends with her!”

“What should we do? Suddenly, our CEO seems inferior. This young lady has such a great

aura and appearance.”

“Who are you? The arrogant girl furrowed her brows and scrutinized Cynthia, asking.

“What’s your connection to our department?”

She wanted to continue her arrogance, but her mother had reminded her not to be too

ostentatious in the company and not to leave a bad impression on Jonathan.
