Chapter 310
Cynthia hesitated for a moment. She thought she knew Joshua well–slightly germophobic
and territorial. Normally, if Kendrick had turned his home into such a mess, Joshua would
have confronted her with displeasure and coldness, accusing Kendrick of his wrongdoings
one by one..
Yet, he simply brushed it off as if it was nothing.
“Are you intimidated by Kendrick?” Cynthia could only come up with this one possible
reason.
“I’m fine. He’s already nut. I’ll go in and check on him first.” Joshua’s aura had softened,
and his attitude toward Cynthia underwent a complete transformation.
Joshua did not know if Kendrick had any exhibitionist tendencies when drunk. To ensure
everything was under control, it was better for him to assess the situation before letting
Cynthia in
Kendrick, dressed neatly but clearly intoxicated, said, “I just heard Cyn’s voice. What did

Joshua glanced back at Cynthia, signaling for her to come in.
Cynthia entered the room. Upon seeing her, Kendrick pounced on her and hugged her
tightly.
“Cyn! I’m so relieved you’re okay! You have no idea how worried I was that joshua might
have done something to you.
Cynthia and Joshua stayed quiet, and bath of them had complex emotions.
Cynthia followed his lead, calmly saying. “I’ve already talked things out with him. Go and
sit over there. I’ll prepare a hangover drink for you.”
“Okay.” Kendrick obediently complied. Then, he walked over to the couch in the living
room and sat down. Within moments, he fell asleep, his head landing heavily on the
couch.
Cynthia furrowed her brow
Just as Cynthia was about to prepare some honey water for Kendrick, she noticed a broken
phone on the floor.
Her mind went blank momentarily, and she asked Joshua, “Is that your phone?”
“Yes,” Joshua replied with a calm demeanor.
Cynthia was speechless.
She decided that once Kendrick sobered up, she would make him quit drinking.
He always managed to get into trouble.
“I might need your help with something later. Joshua’s gaze fell upon her, maintaining a
very friendly attitude throughout.
Cynthia felt guilty because of Kendrick, so she responded, “Sure. What is it?”
“There are some things on my phone that I haven’t backed up. With it being shattered like
that, I can’t recover them. I might need you to transfer them to a new phone for me,”
Joshua paused for a moment, his hands hanging by his sides, and he spoke earnestly
about the matter.
“Of course,” Cynthia agreed.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmJoshua did not say much more.
Alter burrowing a cup from Joshua, Cynthia went to fetch half a cup of lint water and
added the purchased honey to it.
During this time, she also briefly lonked at Joshua’s home.
The living roun and both the master bedroom and the guest bedroom were in complete
disarray, while the kitchen and the locked study were untouched by Kendrick’s mischief.
Ten minutes later, Cynthia gave Kendrick the honey water to drink.
Joshua stood by, assisting her silently with great patience.
At that moment, Cynthia felt as if they were back in the early days of their marriage,
where they lived in harmony and happiness, without arguments, only tranquil joy.
Cynthia placed the cup down and let Kendrick sleep on the couch.
“I’ll tidy up here first.” Cynthia could not bear to see the mess
She had to clean up the mess Kendrick had made.
Just as she was about to get up, Joshua reached out and grabbed her.
His large, warm hand held her wrist gently, causing her heart to skip a beat.
Cynthia was about to pull her hand away when Joshua spoke, “There’s no rush to clean up.
I have something to tell you.”
