“Don’t think that my granddaughter will fall in love with you because you are good–

looking. My granddaughter is not such a superficial person.” Old Man Neal would feel

uncomfortable if he did not criticize Joshua for a day.

Joshua calmly said, “Well, she is not superficial. She only likes good–looking ones.”

“That is because she has good taste.”

“Well, you are right.”

Old Man Neal’s following words were stuck in his throat.

Bickering between the grandparent and the grandchild was already a daily routine, but

bickering was still bickering, Grandpa never really got angry with Joshua, and Joshua never

Joshua was really curious. While making tea, he asked, “I remember you did not like

Grandpa was a bit old–fashioned in thinking. He hoped that Joshua could marry an equal.

So much so that when he got the marriage certificate with Cynthia, Grandpa was not

happy.

However, even before he found out about Cynthia’s identity, he did not care about Cynthia

being an “equal to Joshua anymore but always felt that Joshua was not good enough for

Cynthia.

Now he was asking Joshua to put on makeup because of Cynthia.

It was such a drastic change in his behavior.

“Because Cynthia is good.” Old Man Neal did not say what Cynthia did to him.

“Whether I liked her or did not like her at the beginning, she always respected me as an

elder. Even If you were not here, she was still very good to me.” Old Man Meal sighed and

began to miss that time in his heart.

Joshua listened quietly.

Old Man Neal continued, “Cynthia treats people with sincerity, is kind, and has a big

heart.”

“Yeah,” Joshua echoed, but because of his grandfather’s words, he began to recall the past

between him and Cynthia..

Old Man Neal started his speech of disgust again. “Yeah, um, I know it. If you cannot end

up with Cynthia in this life, then do not get marrd.”

Joshua agreed without thinking too much. “Okay.”

Old Man Neal paused.

His eyes fell on him as if to see whether his words were true or not. “Really, nlcay?”

“Mmmm, Josina said in a calm tone.

Marriage, even if he went through it once, be still felt very strange.

“Okay,” Old Man Neal agreed.

Old Man Neal and Joshua looked over at
