“Really?” Moe’s cool gaze finally showed some signs of emotion.

Cynthia nodded. “Yes.”

Moe quickly regained his composure and held the contract, adding, “Alright. I thoroughly

reviewed the documents during my vacation, and everything is in order. You can sign

them.”

“Thank you.”

“No worries. I’m your assistant, after all.”

Cynthia smiled faintly, feeling touched. Suddenly, she seemed to understand why Moe

was offended at her hiring an assistant.

It was like an established combination suddenly having an outsider added to it.

Cynthia thought it was normal because she was familiar with Matthew, but Moe did not

know him, so he naturally opposed it.

At ten o’clock in the morning, Matthew arrived at the company. Then, the receptionist

directed him to the elevator without hesitation, as Cynthia had informed her beforehand.

Matthew expected Cynthia to be waiting for him, but to his surprise, Mor was there to

greet him.

Moe frowned when he saw the handsome Matthew, knowing that this man was definitely

Cynthia’s type. Almost immediately, he recalled the message Yoel sent him yesterday.

Although he had admitted to Yoel that he made up his heartbreak story, Yoel was still

convinced it was true and automatically assumed that he liked Cynthia.

Moe put aside his thoughts and uttered, “Hello, I’m Moe Smith, Ms. Yates’s assistant. Are

you Mr. Quier?”

“Yes,” Matthew replied.

“After you sign these, I’ll take you to complete the onboarding process. Once that’s done,

I’ll bring you to meet Ms. Yates,” Moe said, maintaining a professional tone.

Matthew said calmly, “Okay.”

Moe took Matthew and completed all the necessary arrangements in just over ten

minutes. After finishing his tasks, they went

to find Cynthia

Cynthia had just finished her work and intended to check her remaining schedule

arrangements when she heard a knock on

the door.

“Ms. Yates, your friend is here.” Mor entered the room, followed by Matthew.

Cynthia froze, but she quickly returned to her senses and calmly gave them their work

assignments.

“First, familiarize him with the environment, and then introduce him to the people in the

secretary department.”

“Okay,” Mor agreed

“As for his tasks, you can handle that. He isn’t familiar with our industry, so it’s best to

start with the basics.” Cynthia made

“Understood,” Moe responded.

“Go alead.”

“Alright.”

As they were leaving, Matthew glanced at Cynthia with a deep gaze.

Unfortunately, Cynthia did not grasp its meaning.

Nonetheless, the day passed by quickly, and Cynthia became too busy to dwell on those

feelings.

In the blink of an eye, it was already Friday.

Cynthia delegated her tasks to Moe and went to the Yates Group to handle some matters.

However, she did not expect Joshua to show up on that day.

Due to the collaboration between the Yates Group and the Neal Group, Joshua had his

reasons to be here, just like Kendrick going to the Neal Group.
