Jimmy asked, “Joshua? What’s he got to do with this?”

Cynthia briefly explained the situation. Jimmy was quite nosy among their small group, but

he was tight–lipped about things outside their circle and would not spill the beans.

“He’s not taking it, is he? The last video he posted seemed pretty normal.” Jimmy guessed

after hearing her explanation

“I asked him to act according to his previous personality. Go ahead and have fun. Once I’m

settled with Joshua’s matter, I’ll treat you all to a nice meal,” Cynthia clarified.

To gather material, she reviewed a lot of surveillance footage. It was precisely because of

Cynthia and Jimmy were surprised by Riley’s suggestion.

Riley continued, “Ask him if he wants to come. Tell him that me, Jimmy, Captain, and

Mitchell will be there. If he’s willing. you can come together. If not, we’ll arrange another

time.”

Cynthia hestrated

Jimmy urged, “Cynthia, just ask him.”

Cynthia looked at Joshua and contemplated. After careful consideration, she finally asked,

“Jimmy and the others invited me to hang out, and Matthew from next door will be there

too. Would you like to join?”

After all, being couped up in the room for so long did not seem beneficial to Joshua’s

recovery, but she did not have many leisure activities to suggest

“Will they welcome me?” Joshua asked earnestly.

Both Jimmy and Riley heard that question and exchanged glances. They could not help but

feel like this guy was acting!

“No, they won’t. If you don’t want to go, we won’t go. If you want to go, I’ll take you

there,” Cynthia assured Joshua, as she knew Jimny and the others well.

Joshua locked eyes with her. From a selfish perspective, he did not want to go. He wanted

Cynthia to be with him alone, with only him in her world. However, if he stopped her this

time, what about the next time?

“Let’s go. They’re your friends, and I don’t want you to miss out because of me, he

carefully weighed his words before replying, donking he could use this opportunity to test

safe when I’m with you.” Joshua acted skillfully, appearing innocent.

“Of course,” Cynthia agreed,

Joshua smiled, looking genuinely cheerful.

Cynthia was dazed, and she could not help but wonder if Joshua’s heart now truly matched

the innocence in his smile. Then again, the person he had become was so different from

his past self.

Sometimes, Cynthia wondered if amnesia could really cause such a drastic change in

someone’s personality.
