Another woman strode over quickly to stand by Scarlet as she reported in a low voice, “Madam Falkner, the vice–

president is occupied with some guests, so he won‘t be able to make it tonight.”

Scarlet nodded. “Sure, I‘ve noticed that. Please invite Miss Angela into my dressing room ten minutes later.”

This was a traditional formal banquet, so each guest in attendance dressed up to the nines. At that moment, there

were a lot of people who shone in their respective industries gathered inside the hall.

Angela was used to attending traditional banquets so she stood gracefully and with poise next to Richard. She

became the center of attention of people inside the room and most people were also quite interested in the tall,

handsome man by her side.

Richard had hardly appeared with Scarlet. So, many of the guests didn‘t realize that Richard was Scarlet‘s only son.
