Chapter: 147

Brian felt depressed seeing Rosalynn ride away.

He had gone above and beyond to assist her, yet she didn’t bother to express gratitude.

How heartless of her!

Rosalynn let the horse lead her onto the racetrack as she tugged the reins.

Her hair was disheveled, but the inexplicable melancholy that had clouded her mind was gone.

She relished the sensation of unfettered movement and didn’t dwell on anything else.

But after completing a lap, she sensed that something was off.

Her horse was panting heavily and seemed uneasy.

Rosalynn frowned and was about to stop.

However, before she could do so, the horse lifted its head and let out a loud neigh before dashing

ahead at breakneck speed.

Rosalynn was taken aback, and her breathing hitched in panic.

This was only her second time on a horse, having previously ridden on a domestic racecourse with

Karina.

She tried to remain calm, but her heart was racing as she attempted to rein in the horse.

Despite her best efforts, the horse continued to hurtle toward the wall.

Brian had to save Eleanor from embarrassment in front of outsiders.

She had come here to help Hughes Group. He couldn’t just leave her by herself.

With much reluctance, he walked over to Eleanor, intending to help her mount the horse.

But before he could do so, a loud cry erupted from the racecourse. Instinctively, he turned his head to

the sound, his eyes widening at the sight of Rosalynn’s horse running wildly.

Fear coursed through his veins. Abandoning his initial goal of helping Eleanor, Brian mounted a horse

and galloped toward Rosalynn.

Rosalynn was tugging at the reins, trying to stop the frenzied horse, but to no avail.

Why had the horse gone rabid?

“Rosalynn! Hold onto the reins. Lean back and step hard on the stirrup!”
