Chapter 995 Filled With Worry
Back to the villa.
The little boys were still concerned about their Mommy, but Rosalie headed straight to the study room
and did not give them a chance to speak.
The boys felt lost and worried as they looked at her from her back.
They felt that something must have happened at the door of Daddy's house just now.
Rosalie closed the study room door and sat down behind the desk with a complicated emotion.
She did not have work to do, it was just a temporary excuse.
An odd feeling rose in Rosalie’s heart as she thought of Byron standing close with Wendy.
'What the hell is wrong with me?’
'I know clearly that Byron is just using me as a tool for business competition, and his previous pursuits
were nothing but talk.'
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt'But, why does seeing Byron standing with other women, made my heart go through such huge turmoil...’
Rosalie had no idea how to deal with herself like this.
Suddenly, the phone rang and broke her thoughts.
With great effort, Rosalie came back to her senses and looked down at the caller ID.
It was Xander's phone number.
'It's so late now. I wonder why he called?'
"Young Master Xander, is there something wrong?"
On the other end, Xander's voice was warm. "Am I disturbing your sleep?"
Rosalie reluctantly bit her lower lip. "Oh no, I just came home."
Xander was relieved from her reply and turned to serious business. "I heard from Dr. Graham that when the
institute caught fire, the batch of medicinal materials from Heronial Corporation was also destroyed."
Rosalie was stunned. She did not expect Yves to tell Xander about this.
Before she could answer, Xander spoke again. "I found another way to get some here and send them to you
another day."
Rosalie frowned and subconsciously refused.' Since it was burned in our research institute, we should be
responsible for it. Let us sort that out instead."
After all, the project needed this batch of medicinal materials, the last batch was already obtained by Xander, but
destroyed in a fire that happened in their research institute.
From a professional and reasonable standpoint, this batch of medicinal materials should be left to Rosalie's
company to figure out a way.
Xander did not mind at all. "As long as the project can go smoothly, it's just a batch of medicinal materials, you
don't have to worry about it."
Rosalie still felt uneasy. "But..."
Xander had already spent so much money on Heronial Corporation, she could not keep letting the
Lancer family pay blindly.
On the other side, Xander heard her hesitation and smiled. “This project is led by Lancer Corporation,
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmand you are all just researchers, so the Lancers should take care of investments. If you really feel bad
about it, why don't you treat me to dinner?"
At this point, Rosalie had no reason to refuse.
Whether it was the batch of medicinal materials provided by Lancer Corporation again; or the request
made by Xander to invite him to dinner.
"When are you free, young master?" She asked straight to the point.
Xander did not expect her to agree so readily. After a few seconds of stunned silence, he smiled.
"Anytime."
Rosalie nodded, thought about it, and proposed a time. "Tomorrow then, since you are sending the
medicinal materials here too."
Xander agreed coolly.
The two briefly chatted for a few minutes, then hung up the phone.
It was getting late. Rosalie brushed away those intrusive feelings as she thought of work tomorrow. She
got up and left the study room.
As soon as the door opened, she saw the two boys waiting at the door, their faces filled with worry.
