Chapter 999 Mastermind
Yves' expression changed when he heard this, and his eyes fell on Rosalie.
'She is taking Xander to dinner?'
'When did this happen?'
'How did I not know about this?'
'Or, were they privately in contact again?*
Yves' mind was bombarded with all these thoughts, he could not help but ask what was in his heart.
"Really? When did this happen?"
Rosalie said, 'Yesterday, Young Master Xander told me about medicinal material, so I suggested it.”
Then she looked back at Xander again. "Young Master Xander, you've helped our research institute
mend such a huge gap. I should invite you to dinner, but it's just a meal, which is insignificant

Her words meant to reject what Xander had said, that she used this meal to replace their relationship.
Xander was nonchalant about it. He just glanced at Yves who was beside him, and asked Rosalie
playfully.
"Then how are you going to repay me for this favor, Miss Jacobs?"
Yves felt those eyes swept past him, along with such a question, his heart could not help but sink.
He turned his head to look at Rosalie, frowning as he waited for her answer.
Rosalie's face became serious again. "Of course, the repayment would be something to make your efforts
worthwhile, Young Master Xander."
Xander raised his eyebrows noncommittally and motioned her to continue.
'I will use this batch of drugs as soon as possible to get the research results we want." Rosalie promised.
She finished and Yves's heart slowly sank.
Xander smiled unhurriedly, "I believe you can do it, Miss Jacobs."
The three of them updated the inventory for the medicinal materials in the research institute. Near noon, Rosalie
proposed to go to dinner together.
Xander readily agreed.
"Dr. Graham, why don't you come too?" Rosalie turned to look at Yves again.
Yves was stunned for a moment and looked at Xander subconsciously.
Xander was noncommittal, "Let's go together, this project is also inseparable from Dr. Graham's efforts."
Hearing this, Yves nodded and agreed.
The three did not go far and found a restaurant near the institute.
After being seated, the two men were gentlemanly and suggested for Rosalie to choose from the menu.
Rosalie accepted, ordered dishes for them, and handed the menu to the waiter.
"Speaking of which, how is the investigation of the fire in your research institute?" Xander suddenly mentioned the

After Xander's words, Yves's body stiffened for a moment. Neither Rosalie nor Xander noticed that.
Rosalie frowned and replied. I only know that our internal employees were bribed, but we haven't
found out who is the mastermind behind this."
Thinking of this, Rosalie could not help but feel a headache.
Yves calmed down after realization and glanced at Xander calmly. He was relieved to see that the man
was not paying attention to himself.
'This was obviously a dinner between Xander and Rosalie. However, he allowed me to come along.’
'He even brought up the fire incident in front of me, whether intentionally or unintentionally.'
Yves even suspected that Xander knew the truth after all.
'Fortunately, at present, it seems that this man is just simply expressing concern.'
Realizing this, Yves also echoed. "I have also checked the rest of the research institute staff, and there
will be no such incident again. Rest assured that this batch of medicinal materials are safe."
Xander pursed his lips and nodded. "That's great. However, it is better to find out who was behind the
last fire."
Rosalie nodded and agreed.
