Chapter 472
Today, a single needle from Agatha jolted Bradley awake to the harsh reality of his past actions against
Esther. He abruptly realized the pain he had caused her over the years. The children she had fought
fiercely to bring into the world, he had heartlessly taken them away.
How had Esther endured those dark times?
Tormented and unable to express his distress, Bradley found himself on a hospital garden bench,
sweat covering his forehead.

Bradley weakly waved his hand, signaling that he didn’t need medical help. If Esther could endure her
struggles, so could he. He didn’t require a doctor.
With her arm around Esther’s shoulder, Agatha walked toward the hospital building. As Esther went up
the steps, she glanced back at Bradley on the bench. “Grandma Foster, what did you do to him?”
Agatha sneered coldly. “Just a needle prick to awaken his conscience. I don’t kill people. He won’t die.”
The needle she used wouldn’t kill Bradley but make him feel the agony he had never known before.
Maybe after experiencing such torment, he would understand true suffering. Hopefully, Bradley would
wake up and stop bothering Esther.
“Grandma Foster, thank you.”
Agatha snorted. “Thank me with actions, not just words.” She turned to Oliver. “Mr. Quill, get us some
food. I want to talk with Esther.”
At Oliver’s call, a variety of delicious dishes arrived. While Agatha and Esther engaged in their
conversation, Jasper and Oliver remained respectfully quiet.
Esther’s room was a luxurious suite, thanks to Oliver’s efforts.
As the dishes were placed on the table, Agatha handed a fork and spoon to Esther. “Esther, have

Esther shook her head, speaking softly. “Grandma Foster, I’m not hungry.”
Agatha pushed the utensils toward Esther. “You aren’t hungry? Do you think you only eat when you
want to? Eating is to ensure that your body has enough energy for your daily life. Eat.”
Esther silently took them and began to eat. The luxurious dishes tasted like wax to her, but she still
mechanically ate. She could not allow herself to falter. She needed to maintain her health to care for
Felix effectively and continue her search for her daughter.
Esther tackled her meal with hearty bites as though the nourishment before her was not food but rather
hope itself. Only by being healthy could she hope to find them.
