Chapter 626
“Ms. Quill, is this your son with Mr. Warner?”
Holding Felix’s hand tightly, Esther gently leaned in and whispered, “Felix, say hello to Aunt Mandy. She’s the one
who gave your dad her liver.”
Felix looked at Mandy, his eyes dark like obsidian, and sized her up before speaking softly. ” Hi, Aunt Mandy.”
Mandy approached Felix to pat his head, but he swiftly dodged, leaving her hand awkwardly hanging in the air. She
acted unfazed, retracted her hand, and smoothened her hair.
“Ms. Quill, shouldn’t you tell your son I’ll be his stepmom soon?” she casually said.

Mandy gazed at Felix with an amused expression and teased, “Oh, Ms. Quill, haven’t you told Felix? He’s not only
getting a stepmom but also a stepdad.”
“You’re wicked! Daddy will never marry you,” Felix retorted, a mix of cuteness and anger in
his tone.
Mandy chuckled as she leisurely returned to her hospital bed and sat down. Though her injuries weren’t as severe
as Esther’s, she winced with every move. “Little man, your dad and I have already chosen a wedding theme.”
With twinkling eyes, she added, “It’s a shame it won’t be a traditional wedding, or you could have been the ring
bearer.”
Felix felt his mother tense up beside him. He held her tightly and whispered reassuringly, ” Mommy, you still have
me. I’ll always be with you.”
Feigning concern, Mandy put on her headphones and told Esther, “Felix is still a child. With this sudden change in
the family, you should focus on his emotional well-being. You’re his mother, after all.”
Felix peeked out from Esther’s embrace, stuck his tongue out at Mandy, and whispered to Esther, “Mommy, I really
don’t like this woman.
Esther stroked Felix’s soft hair and softly replied, “Well, sweetie, Aunt Mandy did save your dad’s life.”
Felix snorted, visibly displeased, “So, Daddy is repaying her with marriage?”
Esther chose to remain silent.
Felix hugged Esther even tighter and asked tenderly, “Mommy, can I go see Daddy?”
“Yes,” Esther said, her voice filled with joy. “Your dad is in the next room.”

“Mommy, I’ll keep Daddy company and then come back to you.”
Felix leaped off the bed and dashed into Bradley’s room energetically, his arms crossed defiantly. He declared,
“Daddy, you’re not allowed to marry Aunt Mandy!”
Bradley couldn’t help but chuckle at Felix’s bold statement. Extending his arm, he firmly said,
“Come here!”
Felix pouted, standing his ground. “I won’t come unless you promise me.”
“Felix!” Bradley raised his voice. “Come here!”
“I don’t care! If you marry Aunt Mandy, I’ll just find myself another Daddy.”
