When Agatha emerged after changing, she found Esther and Jasper engrossed in conversation. “Esther, Jasper,
what are you discussing?”
Jasper spoke clearly. “Dr. Foster, Esther and I were talking about the car accident. After I drop you and Esther at
Primus Mansion, I plan to visit the detention center to inquire about the driver involved.”
“Okay.”
Agatha and Esther got into the car. Agatha observed carefully. Despite Esther’s recent car accident, she didn’t
seem overly frightened. As Esther’s mentor and physician, she understood her condition well. She also worried that
any additional psychological distress could have serious consequences.
“Esther, I need to discuss something with you,” Agatha said.
With Agatha bringing up the topic, Esther looked at her seriously and asked, “What is it?”

Esther was mildly surprised. “Oh, you’re going abroad?”
“Yes, Jacob’s illness requires my presence.” Agatha continued. “And it won’t help Felix’s recovery if he stays here.
Going abroad seems like a better choice—it’ll provide a new environment for Felix’s treatment and give you a
change of scenery.”
“But what about Clark?”
Esther considered how Clark had been in the accident because of her. What would happen to Clark if they left?
“If I remember correctly, Clark’s children are abroad. Let Clark undergo treatment abroad,” Agatha suggested.
Esther nodded gently and said, “I’ll follow your advice.”
Agatha smiled, gently stroking Esther’s hair with a loving gaze tinged with sorrow. She hadn’t initially understood
why she was so invested in Esther. Only when Oliver found her, she realized Esther was Faye’s daughter. It made
sense—she saw a familiar shadow in Esther. She just never imagined that Esther would be Faye’s daughter.
Back in the day, she had wanted Faye to follow in her footsteps and learn the art of medicine. She had never
encountered such an intelligent child as Faye.
However, Faye had refused to pursue medicine, and later…
Through Esther, Agatha saw Faye. She thought she would protect Esther as long as she was alive.

When Esther and Agatha returned to Primus Mansion, Sunshine and Felix rushed over and embraced Esther tightly.
“Mommy, are you hurt?” Sunshine asked.
Esther, who hadn’t noticed she had some blood on her, examined herself. In fact, the blood wasn’t hers.
“No, I’m not hurt.” Esther held Sunshine and Felix’s little hands, leading them to the couch.
Xara handed two bowls of heartwarming soup to Esther and Agatha. “Dr. Foster, Esther, try this. The children and I

Sunshine raised her hand and said, “I shelled the peanuts. Felix washed the ginger, and Jacob took care of the
meat.”
Xara aimed to divert the children’s attention because she knew the recent event still shook Felix.
Esther was pleased as she listened to Sunshine. “I have to try it properly then.”
With the expectant gazes of the three children, she tasted the soup they had prepared themselves.
“It’s delicious, and I want another bowl!”
Sunshine approached Felix and Jacob, extending her hand to them. “Pay up!”
Esther looked at the children curiously, and Xara explained, “The kids were just betting on whether you’d like the
soup or not. It seems that Sunshine won.”
Jacob and Felix obediently paid Sunshine.
“Mommy, I’ll earn money to buy you jewelry!” Sunshine declared.
