“Coward!”
Kevin scanned Bradley’s master bedroom with a device, examining every inch meticulously, leaving no corner
unexamined.
Despite his efforts, he couldn’t find an entrance to the secret room. In frustration, he kicked the marble wall,
regretting his decision to come to Warner Manor alone. If Bradley had hidden Esther there, it would mean he was
confident enough to keep her whereabouts a secret.
Taking a deep breath to quell his fear and anxiety, Kevin continued to search with the device. Unfortunately, he
came up empty-handed once again.

“Bradley is leaving. Call Clark’s son right now! I think Clark knows more!” Jasper shouted urgently from the second
floor as he watched Bradley and Mandy about to leave.
“Alright!” Kevin had no other option but to call Kyle.
“Mr. Jameson, I’d like to ask if Clark has woken up?” Kevin asked.
Kyle was overjoyed. “My father just woke up. Please hold on for a moment.”
Finally, a glimmer of hope emerged as Kevin was about to speak with Clark. He stammered, “C-Clark, it’s Kevin. Do
you know where Bradley’s secret room is?”
Kyle explained the situation to Clark, who had just regained consciousness. “Dad, Bradley had abducted Ms. Esther
Quill. They suspect she’s at Warner Manor!”
Clark struggled to speak. “Bedroom… Bookshelf… The third.”
Kevin heard Clark’s response clearly and reached for the third bookshelf in the bedroom.
“Clark, something’s not right! It won’t open!” Kevin conveyed his confusion to Clark via a video call. Clark pointed to
a book in front of Kevin and said, “Book.”
Kevin didn’t initially understand why Clark mentioned the book. Nevertheless, he gently moved the book as
suggested, and a hidden door, cleverly disguised as a bookshelf, slowly opened.
Upon seeing the hidden door, Kevin couldn’t help but exclaim in his mind, ‘Damn! There really is a secret room!’
Fortunately, he had saved valuable time in his search with Clark’s help.
With his phone in hand and his heart racing, Kevin stepped into the secret room. He found a transparent crystal
coffin in the center of the room. From a distance, he couldn’t discern whether there was a living person or a lifeless

“Kevin?” Esther sat up from inside the crystal coffin and softly called out upon seeing Kevin. “How did you get
here?”
Kevin heard Esther’s voice, and tears of joy welled up. “Esther, it’s a long story. Let’s prioritize your safety. I’ll fill you
in on everything.”
“Are… Are you here to rescue me?” Esther asked anxiously.
Kevin reached out his hand, and Esther took it, emerging from the casket. “Esther, I’m here to get you out!”
Esther had never expected Kevin to come to her rescue. She asked with concern, “Where’s Bradley?”
“Jasper has Bradley occupied at the bar. Come on, let’s go…” Kevin reassured her.
