Chapter 113
"What the hell was that? Could I have misheard you? What did you say? Get a truck full of them? Go ahead. Get a truckload of invitations delivered now. Let us all expand our horizons," Sherah sneered and said sarcastically.
Sherah almost could not contain her laughter. Celena was with Liam, so the more useless Liam was, the happier Sherah was.
Cheryl was in stitches too. She hugged her stomach, wiped the tear at the corner of her eyes, and said, "Haha. That's too hilarious. What was that? Liam, you're really killing us. Do you think you're going to be that powerful just because you say so? Do you know how stupid you look? Both of you are truly a match made in heaven."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtShe was a bitch, and he was a loser, one that loved to talk big and lie at that.
After that, Cheryl looked at Celena provokingly and said, "Celena, you have a keen eye. You've got yourself such a good husband. I haven't congratulated you, have I? Congratulations on being with an idiot."
Reginald suddenly slammed on the table. He sneered and bellowed, "Enough! What nonsense are you talking about? Do you think you can do as you wish now because I've let you back into the family? If you can get a truckload of invitations delivered here now, I'll acknowledge that you're my grandson-in-law."
Qemal could not stop sneering. He fanned the flames and said, "Speople just don't have any self-awareness. They thought they would have nothing to worry about after they joined the Stone family. He's a nobody, but he just likes to brag and insist on how impressive he is. Who does he think we are? Does he think our family is stupid? These little tricks are just nothing but a joke to us."
Tears welled up in Celena's eyes after they were ridiculed and humiliated again. Her head was hanging incredibly low. Her shoulders were trembling a little, looking heartbreaking.
Celena pulled her hand out of Liam's palm and wiped her tears. With a catch in her throat, she said, "Liam, I'm begging you. Can you stop with the lies? Can you stop doing all these…"
In the end, she still held her tongue and kept it to herself.
Celena had never felt so ashamed as she did at that moment. She had been mocked and humiliated in the past because of Liam. However, she was still humiliated because of him after he cback.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmShe truly wanted to live a good life with Liam and let Jovie have a family. However, the way Liam acted suddenly made her feel a little scared. She even started to feel a hint of disgust deep down.
What happened to Liam? Why did he always have to play in the gallery and lie in front of everybody? Why must he embarrass her over and over again and let her be jeered and insulted?
Celena could not take the disdain and humiliation from those people anymore. While wiping her tears, she ran out of the dining hall.
Liam quickly comforted Jovie and ran after her. He followed her all the way to the garden next to the living room. Celena was crouching, crying inconsolably, with her face covered.
Liam crouched down and held Celena's hand. His heart ached when he saw her. He said, "Celena, I'm sorry. I really am. I shouldn't have ignored your feelings. It's my fault."
"Let go of me!" Celena pulled her hand out of his grip and pushed him away as hard as she could.
With a tear-stained face and a catch in her throat, Celena said with grievance, "Liam, can you stop acting like that? I thought I would never be laughed at and insulted again as long as you're back. I
thought everything would improve because of your return. But look at you. How many times has it been? Look at how they looked atearlier. They were simply making a monkey out of me."
