Eaden put down his pen when he heard this. The servant standing next to him immediately handed him a wet towel. Eaden wiped his hands as he turned to the subordinate. "Have you found out why?"

The subordinate quivered, then mumbled, "No! No!"

Eaden stood up to welchim. "What are you doing here, Mr. Reath? I was just about to go meet you!"

Everyone heard of Eaden's reputation before, but unbeknownst to the public, he owed all his success to Kolten. Therefore, he was always so respectful and appreciative toward Kolten.

Kolten scoffed and cast Eaden a look of white-hot rage. "Eaden Wafer! Do you have any idea what you've done? Do you know who you offended? Lettell you, it's not someone you'd ever want to cross! Get on your knees right now! Look at you—so foolish that you don't even know death has cknocking!"

Without hesitation, Eaden fell to his knees, his expression now one of fear and terror. He tried his best to remain calm as he stared up at Kolten. "Mr. Reath, I don't understand what's happened. Is this a misunderstanding?"

A glimmer of disdain flashed through Kolten's eyes. "Makson Reager works for you, doesn't he?"

"Yes, he does! But what does this have to do—"

All of a sudden, something occurred to him, and he recalled what his subordinate told him just a few minutes prior. He had a feeling that Makson inadvertently crossed someone he should not have, and this was why he was arrested!
