It would appear that Makson got himself into sdeep trouble!

"Thud!"

Kolten could tell that Eaden finally put two and two together. He was so outraged that he placed his foot against Eaden's chest and snarled, "Well, since he works for you, this means he's your responsibility!"

With that, Kolten got on his knees right next to Eaden.

Eaden's eyes widened in shock. He began to tremble uncontrollably, and beads of sweat began to form on his forehead.

Why was Kolten kneeling on the ground next to him?

Kolten was the richest and most powerful man in Drunham City, and what could make a man of such power get on his knees to beg for forgiveness? Not only that, but he appeared to be waiting for someone.

Could it be-

Eaden felt a shock go through his entire body as though he was struck by lightning. His ears began to ring. He never thought that he would one day witness Kolten beg for someone's mercy!

He inched closer to Kolten and murmured, "Please save me, Mr. Reath! Please! I had no idea what was happening, and my subordinates were foolish! I had no idea any of this was happening at all. I will punish them for this, but please, you have to help me, Mr. Reath!"

Kolten, however, did not want to entertain this. He closed his eyes and replied coldly, "It's no use. I can't help you either. You have to tell this to him when he arrives, and see if he shows you any

mercy!"

All of a sudden, there cthe sound of brakes screeching to a halt outside the door. Eaden felt as though his life was flashing before his eyes. He quickly got back into position, his entire body shaking like a leaf.

The sound of footsteps echoed from outside.

Eaden lifted his head to peek at the door. A young, powerful-looking man stood at the door, his chiseled features pulled into a scowl as he gazed at them. He had an air of authority so domineering that one could not help but tremble in fear at this sight.

Even though this was his first tmeeting him, Eaden was already terrified of this man!

Liam stepped into the building with Calum following close behind. In Eaden's eyes, Calum was tall and burly and appeared far more powerful than all of his subordinates combined.

Liam caught sight of both Eaden and Kolten kneeling on the ground before him, but he did not even bat an eyelid. Instead, he sat down at Eaden's desk and glanced at the letter spread out before him. Finally, he asked, "Do you admit your mistake, Kolten Reath?"

Kolten immediately tensed up. "Yes, sir! I fully admit my wrongdoing!"

Liam scoffed, then turned to glance at Eaden, who was trembling right next to Kolten. "Are you Eaden Wafer?"

"Yes, sir! It is I-" Eaden was shaking like a leaf, but did not dare to make a move. His sweat slid down his forehead and formed a puddle on the ground.

Who would have thought that the two most powerful men in Drunham City would be kneeling before this young man like schoolchildren who were caught stealing?

"So Makson Reager works for you, huh?" Liam asked, his tone steely and unnerving.
