Eaden did not dare to lie and instead admitted truthfully, "Yes, sir. He's one of my subordinates, but I had no idea what he did. I did not know what he was up to today, and if I knew that he would do something to disrespect you, I would've killed him myself! Please forgive me, sir, I was completely in the dark about this!"

Eaden kept banging his head against the ground as a desperate means of showing his sincerity. Even though the floor was heavily carpeted, he hit his head so hard that his forehead was beginning to bleed.

Liam scoffed, then turned to Calum and said, "Bring him in!"

Calum immediately dialed a number, and less than five minutes later, the sound of police sirens appeared outside the building. George stepped out of the vehicle with his men and brought a handcuffed Makson into the room.

"Thud!"

Makson was then tossed onto the ground. His face was bruised and swollen beyond recognition, and when he caught sight of both his boss and the richest man in the city kneeling on the ground, he was immediately overcwith fear. He finally realized just how badly he screwed up this time.

"Sir, please forgive me! It was all my fault! I was too foolish to realize what I did, but I would never do it again! I should never have let my greed take over me! I should never have committed such a sin all for a bit of money! Please, showmercy, kind sir," He wailed, getting onto his knees and banging his head against the floor like Eaden did.

"A bit of money? You're saying that someone put you up to this? Tellwho ordered you to do this right this instant!" Liam demanded, raising his eyebrows when he heard this.

Makson did not even hesitate to cclean with the truth. At this point, he was willing to do anything if it meant he could get out of there alive. "It was Wasyl Abbott, the heir of Abbott Group, sir! He offereda million dollars to destroy all of the Stone family's equipment! Besides that, he also orderedto terrorize all of the suppliers who would be working with Stone Group!"

"Wasyl Abbott!" a glimmer of malice flashed through Liam's eyes as he muttered this name.

Then, he turned to Makson again and said in a booming voice, "Well, you have to pay the price for what you've done!"

With that, he gave Makson such a forceful kick in the middle of his chest that Makson flew into the air and finally landed with a thud against the wall. The plaster wall cracked from the impact, and Makson slumped onto the ground in a crumpled heap, a visible bulge in his chest from where Liam kicked him. He spat out a mouthful of blood and then fell unconscious. He was no longer breathing.

Eaden grew even more terrified by this sight. He fell to his knees once more and continued begging for mercy, "Please forgive me, sir! I should have trained my men to be better than this. I should have been a better leader, but please, do forgivefor my wrongdoing! I will spend the rest of my life making up for my mistake! Please, sir!"

Eaden's voice was trembling with fear.

Liam glanced at him coldly and scoffed. "Well, I would've killed you in an instant, but lucky for you, I still need someone to do my bidding."

"Thank you for your kindness, sir. I will be at your service, no matter night or day. I am willing to do anything for you, even if it will put my life in danger! Thank you for being so kind to me, sir!"

Although Eaden did not know what Liam had in store for him, he was more than grateful to be alive at that moment.

Liam turned to Kolten. "Get up. This has nothing to do with you."

Kolten got to his feet and stood next to Liam.
