Joe had stayed in the hospital for a few days and his condition had improved a lot. At least, he could

speak clearer than before.

However, they still couldn’t mention Yvonne. Otherwise, he would get emotional easily.

Candice stopped and said, “I won’t disturb you.”

She had just wanted to leave when Helen called out to her. “Stop a while.”

Helen then put the slip in Candice’s hand and ordered her, “Geta booking. I want to get the

checkup done in the afternoon.”

Candice stood there holding the slip and said, “I’m sorry. I have something else going on and it’s not

that convenient right now.”

Helen’s beautiful eyes glared at Candice. “What did you say?”

It was the first tthat Candice refused her, and Helen was in disbelief.

Candice was very calm as she returned the slip to Helen. “Mrs. Elysian, I’m sorry but I can’t help you. If

you need help, please go to reception.”

eyes and glared at her mockingly. “So you’re becoming pretentious after you’re dumped by Alex?”

Candice knew Helen didn’t like her, so her fingers curled back. She had just wanted to say something

when she heard Sonia’s sweet voice. “How did you get here? Didn’t I say that you can simply wait for
