My OP Minion System in the Apocalypse
Chapter 138 Vampire Weakness To Failure - Part 3"Hey Fuola, do you mind taking your sword out of my face, please~"
Lest's face was gushing out cold dark blood, staining Fuola's sword and the ground beneath him. He had already let go of the girl, but Fuola was still hesitating to pull his sword out. Lest gave it a gentle nudge and eventually Fuola withdrew his deep red sword which had been coloured even further by Lest's blood.
More blood dribbled out as Lest's injuries quickly healed.
"How can you heal so fast even with so many of these humans around?" Karnstein was in shock.
"I guess I'm just stronger than you~"
The girl was still looking up at Lest as he pondered what to do.
The other humans seemed to have taken a defensive stance, seeing that Lest was just too powerful for them to take on. If he couldn't make the girl into an offspring, there wasn't really anything he could do aside from letting her leave.
Whilst he could've technically ignored Fuola's threats, he still decided that his relationship with Fuola was more important than another offspring. It was extremely rare that humans became Dukes upon becoming a vampire. It was also a completely unknown phenomenon that Fuola managed to keep his abilities from when he was a human.
Fuola was a powerful tool, so Lest decided to just let him do what he wanted for the time being.
"So, Fuola, what do you suggest we do with them?"
"We'll take some of them back to become livestock."
"Ah, but no girls right?"
"Yes."
"But how are we going to breed them?"
"We can figure that out later."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"Eh, alright then~"
Lest made his way over to some of the humans who were hiding behind the trees. Most of them fled upon witnessing his strength, however, some stayed behind in an attempt to rescue the girl, not that she needed rescuing per se.
Grabbing them by the collar, he punched them a few times in the face. It was enough to make sure that they weren't going to resist on the way back. He slung four humans over his shoulder.
"You take some as well, I can only carry so many~"
"Alright."
After collecting some livestock, they began making their way back toward the cave.
"Also you, offspring of the Seventh Progenitor."
"What?"
Lest dropped the humans that he was carrying to the ground.
"You led a group of enemies to me and Fuola, did you not?"
"It was not intentional."
"That's a lie, I can't just let you get away unpunished, you know?"
Karnstein quickly jumped back but he was not fast enough. At a speed that he couldn't even see, Lest grabbed his arm, holding on with an unbreakable force.
"Now, how am I going to punish you~"
"Shit, is there anything you want? I'll give you something."
"Ah, something I want... hm..." he turned to Fuola, "is there something you want?"
"Not anything that he'd be able to provide," he replied.
"Ah, well that's that then."
Lest raised his leg and kicked Karnstein in the head. The force of the kick sent Karnstein barreling into the ground, splattering his entire body with dirt. As he slowly pulled himself up, Lest kicked him once again in the stomach.
Even though more powerful vampires had the ability to regenerate practically any injuries, they still felt pain. Lest's kicks sent shockwaves through his body, causing immense pain. Karnstein curled up into a ball, holding his stomach in his hands.
"I'd like to have a word with the Seventh Progenitor if you will?"
"I'm not taking you to them."
"I'm afraid that's not an option."
"I'll kill myself before you can force me."
"Aa~ all this about killing yourself, that's all everyone goes on about these days."
Karnstein glared at Lest from the ground.
"You know, I've already got the Seventh Progenitor's scent."
"You're lying..."
"You don't believe me?"
Lest stuck out his arm and pointed into the distance.
"That's the direction of your base, am I right?"
"W-wh... no, it's not."
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"Aha, that was too easy~"
"How... how do you have his scent...?"
"His scent's on you, isn't it obvious?"
"No way..."
"I've always been praised for having a good nose~"
Lest took a few steps forward and stomped on Karnstein's face. Soil from the ground was kicked up and covered his mouth, causing him to cough in pain.
"Come on, take me there, this way you can protect your dumb little Progenitor."
"You'll never be able to kill him..."
"You think? I think I'm pretty strong."
"You're not strong enough to kill a Progenitor."
"Ah, let's test that then, shall we?"
"You know what... fine, I'll take you to him. After we're done with you, I'll have your head hung up on the wall."
"Aah, you're scaring me now~"
Karnstein led the way as Fuola and Lest followed behind, walking through the woods. It seemed that they had left their human livestock on the ground. They managed to live in freedom for a little longer out of pure luck. The footsteps of the vampires echoed through the forest, with dense thumps hitting the ground as these powerful figures walked through the dangerous woods as if nothing was a danger to them.
Slowly but surely, they began making their way closer to the hideout of the Seventh Progenitor. Despite being the weakest of the seven, a Progenitor's strength was not to be underestimated, in theory, they should be leagues above the strength of any Duke. The three vampires continued making their way down the unstable path which was caused by the uneven shape of the ground.
In the distance, there was a large clearing in the forest. For almost a hundred metres, there was not a single tree in sight. The only thing that inhabited these barren lands was a single dilapidated farmhouse.
"Ah, that's your hideout? It looks like a piece of trash."
"It'll look a little better with your head hanging from a pole out the front."
"Eh, I'm not sure about that~"
Eventually, the three of them made it to the entrance of the Seventh Progenitor's base.
