I was lost in thought, trying to design a bridge that could be easily collapsed from the inside of the castle while remaining impervious to tampering from the outside. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't come up with a satisfactory solution. Disappointed, I turned to the crafting menu for inspiration, but there were no options that met my needs. As I scrolled through the choices, I spotted a design for a moat that caught my attention.
The moat would be a deep ditch filled with sharp spikes submerged in a shallow pool of water. The water would be deep enough to cover the spikes but shallow enough to prevent anyone from swimming over them. I was confident that this design would be effective in protecting our city, so I quickly added it to my plan. Using the AI, I carefully placed the moat around the perimeter of the castle and included it in the city plan.
However, as I worked on the design, I realized that the moat would leave us with only one way in and out of the city, which could be problematic in the event of an invasion. We would be isolated and potentially cut off from resources. Determined to find a solution, I went back to the crafting menu and searched for ideas related to mobility.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThat's when I found the "tunnels" section.
- Underground Tunnel- Tunnel Through Mountain- Tunnel Under Bridge
I had the idea to create a hidden tunnel leading from the city to a nearby mountain, allowing our minions to access resources during times of need. I chose the underground tunnel option and got to work on the city plan. I started the tunnel at the base of the church and carefully excavated it through the mountain. The tunnel was wide enough for our minions to pass through comfortably.
At the other end of the tunnel, I made sure to conceal the opening with a large rock to keep it hidden from view. The entrance on the city side was located inside the church, also hidden from sight. I knew that one tunnel would be sufficient for our needs.
As I continued to work on the detailed city plan, I began to feel exhausted. The planning stage was always the most tedious and time-consuming part of the process. I decided to take a break and start fresh in the morning, so I removed the city wall from the plan and set it aside for now. The only elements left to be added to the plan were the bridge, city doors, and city wall.
With renewed energy, I set to work on a new addition to the city – a tall, slender watchtower that would stand in the centre of the city. It would be tall enough to allow the watcher to survey the surrounding area for great distances, providing early warning of any approaching danger. The crafting menu didn't have any designs that suited my needs, so I had to come up with one on my own.
I designed a slender tower with a wide base, which would also serve as a weapon storage facility. The top of the tower would be wide enough for a person to stand and scan the horizon in all directions. I added the tower to the city plan, positioning it in the centre of the city so that the watcher would have a clear view of the entire city, as well as the tunnel entrance.
Exhausted from a full day of intense planning, I made my way to my new bed and collapsed onto it, grateful for the chance to rest. As I drifted off to sleep, I couldn't help but feel proud of the intricate city plan I had created.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe next morning, I woke up feeling rested and ready to tackle the rest of the city plan. I started by working on the design for the city's main entrance. I knew it needed to be sturdy and secure but also easy to open and close from the inside. I browsed the crafting menu and finally found a design that seemed to meet my needs.
The design called for a pair of heavy iron doors with a complex locking mechanism. I added the doors to the city plan, positioning them at the main entrance. I also added a small guard station next to the doors, where a minion could stand watch and control access to the city.
Next, I turned my attention to the bridge. I wanted it to be strong and secure but also able to be collapsed easily from the inside in case of an attack. After much contemplation, I came up with a design that I thought would work. The bridge would be made of stone and supported by sturdy pillars. It would be wide enough for carts and carriages to pass over but also equipped with a mechanism that would allow it to be quickly collapsed from the inside if needed.
With the main entrance, the moat, the tunnel, and the bridge in place, all that was left was to add the city wall. I designed a tall stone wall with guard towers positioned at regular intervals. The wall would provide an extra layer of defence for the city and allow the minions to keep watch over the surrounding area.
As I studied the city plan, I realized that there were a few more details that needed to be added. I decided to add a series of gates along the wall, allowing the minions to move freely in and out of the city while still maintaining a high level of security. I also added a series of watchtowers along the perimeter of the city, giving the minions a clear view of the surrounding area and providing early warning of any approaching threats.
I guess this should be fine for the time being. I wasn't too sure about the current strength of the zombies, but it should be alright.
I took a seat, looking up at the pale blue sky. ????????????????????????d. c????????
