117 Lisa; Sooner or Later I Will Find The Truth (2)
(Jane’s PoV)
I had waited for the elder to utter some words of recognition for Siji, but the elder didn’t say anything, much to my disappointment. After staring at Siji for a while, the elder didn’t look at him anymore and returned to his usual aloof stance. He didn’t look at me or Siji anymore, but somehow I knew this elderly was not an easy one. He acted as if he didn’t know about Siji but I knew he did.
Anyway, I wouldn’t scare this young woman by saying that there was an elder behind her and some other powerful astral beings.
Ignoring the others and focusing on building a good relationship with this young woman named Lisa, I finally had something to busy my days.
Of course, this happened before Sanji came. By the time Sanji finished his work and came to find me, Lisa had gone to her new work place.
After my first meeting with Lisa, I went back home only after I managed to make an appointment with her to meet on the next day. I was totally curious about her.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtBut, that night an uninvited guest came to my house. Since my house had a barrier around to prevent unrecognized ‘beings’ came into the house, the elder had to wait for my permission to get into the house.
Siji was the one who told me about his coming. Even though he had already passed away for so long, I still needed to show him my respect as a junior towards a senior. So, I didn’t waste any time to come and accept him at the front door.
“Please, come in, Elder.” I politely invited him in.
.....
The elderly walked inside and threw me a glance. “Don’t you feel afraid I might hurt you after you let me in?” He asked calmly.
I smiled at him. “Well, I’m sure you don’t have that thought, right?”
The elder’s thin lips curled up a bit into a fleeting smile, but he said no more. I followed him into the room and watched him sat on the soft couch. There was a slight movement on the couch but it was not as heavy as when a human was sitting on it.
I took a seat at the nearest couch as I was still watching the elderly not far from me. Before I could speak, Siji came and stood beside me, but he didn’t say anything.
As soon as Siji appeared, the elderly’s eyes moved onto him.
“Long time no see, Number Seven.” The Elderly started.
My eyebrows arched as I heard him called Siji. Number Seven? It reminded me of that time when those elders in the other dimension were talking. If I were not mistaken, I also heard them say something about ‘Seventh Adviser’ and I had accepted it long ago that the Seventh Adviser they were talking about was Siji. Why and how he could be the Seventh Adviser, I had never asked him before. I thought, just like me the Army who had different Master and General, Siji might be the seventh adviser appointed to this army.
But, from this old man’s way of talking, it was not just a number.
“Sir.” Siji quietly bowed his head down as a form of greeting.
“You’re here, it means this girl is the new master of White Army.” That was not a question, but a statement.
Why did I find it not a surprise that he knew about White Army?
This time, his gaze drifted to me. His pair of eagle eyes looked exceptionally overwhelming at this particular time. Under the pressure of his gaze, I almost broke out in cold sweat.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Not bad. I can see why she was chosen to be the one.” The elder pulled his gaze back as he stared at a big picture hanging on the wall; a picture of my parents and me after I graduated from High School.
“Indeed. Her fate has been decided since long ago, even before she was born into this world.” Siji nodded his head.
Those words successfully caught my curiosity.
“Number Seven, are you sure she is the one? I know she has much stronger of mental power than the others, but how can you be so sure that she is the one?”
“Sir, do you remember why I became Number Seven?”
The elderly snorted. “I’m the one who gave the number, why would I forget?”
Siji smiled politely, but he couldn’t hide the beam in his eyes. “Exactly. She is the only one who can maintain her rationality for more than 30 days. No, I don’t think she knows about it. I can say that my presence doesn’t affect her at all, and it is instead the other way around.” He said proudly.
Wait!
Are they talking in the same language as I use or am I too dumb to understand what they’re talking about?
