228 Side Story: Creating A Monster
There was an uproar after the girl left the scene. Gasps could be heard here and there as they patted their chests repeatedly to ease the pressure they felt a moment ago.
What a strong and intimidating power!
The moment she walked towards her army, they all felt an immense pressure holding them down, making them suffocated with eyes widened in bewilderedment. They tried to use their own power to shield them from the pressure, but it didn’t work too much, instead, the summoned army slowly dissipated because of lack of power.
By the time she disappeared with her army, the pressure eased up slowly but the shock they received lingered for much longer.
Even so, they felt fortunate since they could breathe properly again.
One by one, they looked around to check on their own army. Miserable whining was heard as they saw the pathetic looking of their own armies. The wonderful aura was dissipating and the number of men existed was reduced to half than they had called before.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe only one who survived was Cloud Army. It was still as gloomy as after she helped the Master. They looked untouched by her pressure, even so the Master had the same bewildered expression on his face. Cold sweat wetted his clothes as he couldn’t snap back from his stuppor.
If only one could hear what he said in his mind, they must have understood his feeling at this moment.
‘I must be mad! Why should I provoke that devil? What qualification do I have to be brave enough to challenge her?’
.....
Those questions repeatedly appeared and tortured his mind. The memory where she beat him up until his advisor appeared suddenly popped into his mind and his body shook.
That day, his advisor clearly told him not to provoke her, that she was much stronger than she looked. However, as soon as he learned that he was going to be as strong as the Master of Cloud Army as well as possessed the same ability as hers, his ego as a man made him think that he could surpass her eventually.
Little did he know, he was facing the most abnormal and unpredictable master of all times.
Therefore, he challenged her with a stupid intention in mind. Only after he saw her display of power then he knew how stupid he was.
The reason why he was saved from the pressure was probably because of the remnants of her power in his army. While the others suffered a humiliation from being over powered by her, he was the only one who got lesson in the hard way.
While the others were scrambling to their feet to steady themselves, Rasha was the only one who stood upright even though he wasn’t in much better situation either. Even so, this situation wouldn’t take long to change.
Above their head, no one noticed the presence of a creature. Looking down upon those masters, his pair of red eyes hid the contempt in his heart. His pair of black wings flapped softly with his arms crossed in front of his chest. A vortex was formed behind his back as his Generals came out of it. Hiding behind the portal was his thousands army, trembling with excitement to a big battle.
All of them felt the familiar aura coming from those masters, and they all knew that the meeting was taking place. However, a powerful aura swept those auras away and grew even bigger to the point that those demons were triggered and started to cause a ruckus.
The aura was powerful that they felt like someone was challenging them. Their lust for blood and battle was called forth. All they wanted to do was to rush towards the owner of the power and consume her or him. The aura was so delicious and judging from the scale of the aura, there must be enough for all of them.
Their greed almost got the best of them. If not for the more experienced Generals, they would all head to their doom.
The Generals could smell that something was wrong with the aura, thus they hastily locked the way out and calmed their soldiers.
The only one who remained unperturbed with all the commotion in front of him was their King, Nataya. There was even a gentle smile on his face and his red eyes softened.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmOf course he knew the source of the power. Even so, he was a bit perplexed when he saw the behavior of his men. Did they react this strongly because of Jane’s power or it was because of other aspects that he didn’t know about?
Only after his Generals reported back about the situation that he finally realized the odd that had been bothering him.
Since he was the Devil King, he didn’t feel anything like how his underlings felt. But, according to what his Generals said, even they had the same urge as the underlings.
They all felt the aura was delicious, it was so alluring that it made them want to rush towards the source of power and devour it. It was so pure and abundant, that even they who only consumed dark and negative energy would be attracted to it.
However, the instinct of those Generals was pretty good. They knew something as good as this would mean danger. Their survival instinct took over their greed and saved them just in time. Therefore, they resisted the urge and locked their underlings to avoid any calamities befell upon them.
Listening to his Generals description of the power, Nataya nearly jumped out of his chair. He nearly slapped himself for missing this important fact. He was too drowned in his grieve for years that he always tried to find fault in the next generation of Master of White Army. When he met Jane, he tried to shape her into another Ajeng, which caused him to overlook the most important thing; Jane’s power.
The fact that he didn’t feel like what his underlings felt was the proof that her power was not strong enough to distract his mind. However, he knew that the time would come in the near future. It wouldn’t be long until his Generals would succumb to the temptation and lose their rationality. When that time came, he knew he would be next.
Instead of feeling fear, he was excitedly anticipating the time. While he was trembling from his excitement, his mind had started to plan about the training he would give to the girl.
She would be a terrifying existence in the near future, and he would be the one who created that monster.
