Chapter 2736
"Okay, I'll wait for your updates then," Nicole replied.
"I'll take care of those men in San Joto," Max declared, determined and resolute.
Nicole nodded in agreement before turning to Patricia. "You should get some rest. Let Max and Charlie deal with
them for now."
"Got it." Patricia nodded in response.
Nicole then turned around, looked Jared in the eye, and smiled. "Let's go."
"Sure," he softly replied, after which he walked her out of the office.
Max and the others followed suit. Charlie was the first to exit the building, while Max and Patricia followed Jared and
Nicole into the elevator.

said.
"I really am fine. I can work as usual tomorrow." Patricia shook her head, refusing to take a break.
Her minor injury was not a big deal, and considering the uncertainty surrounding this entire situation, Nicole might
not be out of the woods. After all, those men had targeted Ellar just to get to Nicole, so they could not afford to let
their guard down.
The group exited the elevator and strolled up to the entrance of Johnston Group.
"Nicole, Patricia!" Ellar called out as he quickly ran up to them.
"Why are you here?" Nicole asked, surprised by Ellar's sudden appearance.
"I'm here to see someone." Ellar scratched his head in a somewhat awkward manner.
"See someone?" Nicole frowned. 'Why is he here, and who is it he's seeing?'
"Tm here to see Patricia. I went to Riddle Corporation, but they said you have already left before work ended, so I
asked around. I found out that the both of you came here, so here I am," he explained.
"Why do you want to see Patricia?" Nicole asked, feeling somewhat puzzled.
It was odd that Ellar had gone around looking for Patricia, and what was even weirder was that he had followed
them all the way from Riddle Corporation all the way to Johnston Group.
'Could it be related to the incident with the men in black in the afternoon?' Nicole wondered.
"Mr. Johnston, Ms. Riddle. I think you should leave first. We will take care of things on our end." Patricia interrupted,
not wanting him to continue as he would blurt everything out
and embarrass her in front of everyone.
Without elaborating on what Patricia had said, he replied," She's right."
Nicole was full of doubts. 'Are these two harboring some sort of secret?'

After the couple had gotten in, Max started the engine and slowly drove them away from Johnston Group.
After seeing that the car had reached a certain distance away from her, Patricia breathed a sigh of relief and
turned to look at Ellar. "Speak. What's up?"
'Tm fine. I was just worried about your injury, so I came to check up on you," Ellar candidly said.
Patricia's lips twitched. There and then, she thanked the heavens that she had made the right decision by getting
Jared and Nicole to leave first.
'Tm fine, and you don't need to worry about me," Patricia curtly replied. "If you really care about Ms. Riddle, don't
run around mindlessly."
If something happened to him, Nicole would be left to deal with the consequences.
"I'm not running around mindlessly. I have the security detail you've assigned looking out for me." Ellar looked at
Patricia seriously, like a well-behaved child waiting for praise.
Patricia opened her mouth, but instead of telling him off for what he was doing, she sighed. "If you're fine, you
should go home."
