With everything running as smoothly as possible in the capital, Cedric gave his wife a final call before finally departing their home to join her and their son on Kashmere island.
"Are you sure you have everything?" Adrianna asked her husband for the fifth time.
"You packed my bags before you left, Adri." Cedric said with a chuckle as he got into his car and signaled for his driver to take him to the airport.
"Didn't you check it?!" Adrianna asked angrily, making Cedric laugh even more. "What if I forgot something, and don't you dare laugh!"
Cedric shook his head as he stopped himself from digging his grave even deeper.
Adrianna would enter the operation room tonight in order to deliver the twins, he didn't want her to enter early labor because she was annoyed at him.
"I'm sure that if I need something we can easily just buy it." Cedric said calmly as his car exited the gates of his Mountain View Mansion.
While he and his wife were away, he had left Ayanna and Camilla in charge of most things with the Reyes Group. He knew that Ian was already dealing with too much since the meeting with the Mafias and the Gangs.
He also didn't want the two women to overwork themselves, especially since Ayanna was pregnant and he wanted Camilla to spend more time with Guan Ming.
Luckily, Guan Ming was also quite busy with work and interrogating Lucius Ting allowing Camilla time to work and help Ayanna out.

It seemed his son had saved him from a scolding as he woke up just in time to beg to take the phone.
"This conversation isn't over." Adrianna warned as she handed the phone to her son.
Cedric simply smiled at her words, he knew his wife would eventually forget about it before he even landed on Kashmere.
He spent the entire ride to the airport speaking to his overly energetic son. It seemed that the young boy had missed his father terribly and had a lot of stories to tell.
By the time Cedric got on the plane and had to say goodbye to Yoyo, his son was crying over the phone saying that he didn't want to drop the call. He was afraid that he wouldn't be able to speak to his father soon.
After some coaxing from his mother and grandparents, who were already in Kashmere, Yoyo eventually allowed Cedric to say goodbye and drop the call.
The flight was peaceful as it was only Cedric and Dave that were going on the island.
Dave was only there to assist Cedric in case something happened with the Reyes Group that needed his immediate attention. Other than that, Cedric had decided to avoid work at all costs and to focus on spending time with his family.
To Cedric's surprise, he was greeted by his wife and son when he departed.
"Daddy!" Yoyo screamed as he ran across the tarmac towards his father.
Cedric quickly caught his son and pulled him to a hug. The fact that his son had missed him so much tugged at Cedric's heart.
"Hey Yoyo, did you miss me?" Cedric asked his son.
He was happy that this time he could keep his promise to Yoyo and give the young boy his full attention.
"Mommy said you would follow and she was right, you're here!" Yoyo happily announced as he began to cry.
"Mommy and Daddy would never break our promises to you, Yoyo. Never forget that." Cedric said as he kissed the top of his son's head.
Cedric carried his son to his waiting wife as he pulled her into a hug. It may have only been for a night but he hated being separated from his family.
"Why are you here?" Cedric asked as he released his wife from his arms.
"Yoyo wanted to welcome you to Kashmere." Adrianna said with a sweet smile as she went on her tiptoes and kissed her husband on the lips. "Plus I missed you."
Cedric smiled and nodded as he helped his wife and son into the car.
"I don't expect there to be any issues with work." Cedric told Dave as he stood outside of the car. "But, if there is, I want you to come find me."
Dave nodded as he helped the staff load Cedric's bag into the car.

Unfortunately, when given an option, Mae quickly rejected the offer of going to Kashmere and preferred to stay. She wanted to take advantage of this time to speak to her mother and aunt.
"Is everything alright with work?" Adrianna asked Cedric as he got into the car.
"Yeah, just some final instructions. I plan to spend the next few days with my attention fully on you and our children." As Cedric said this he placed a hand on his wife's very pregnant belly.
"Has the doctor arrived?" Adrianna asked Cedric.
Doctor Santos was supposed to arrive earlier that day, Ray's and Miguel's people had confirmed that the doctor had already familiarized herself with the hospital on the island.
"She has and all she needs is for you to be ready." Cedric replied with a nod as their car made its way through the island towards their private villa.
"I'm worried." Adrianna said as she looked down at the now sleeping Yoyo. He had been way too excited to see Cedric and had fallen asleep once they got into the car.
"What about?" Cedric asked his wife as he took her hand in his and gently stroked it.
"About the whole situation." Adrianna confessed. "It's like anything can go wrong at any time and right now the world is peaceful, it seems wrong."
Cedric sighed and shook his head as he hugged his wife.
"We are allowed to be at peace, Adri. We are allowed to be happy." Cedric said as he planted a kiss on her head.
He couldn't help but admit to himself that she was right, things seemed too peaceful for their lives.
