Helix panned the audience in the auction house.
There were eighty-three Earthians in the middle section of the house floor.
Seventeen seats were left empty, but they would not let [anyone] near the Cheat hopefuls.
No one was sitting to their right in the right section setting.
There were one woman and five guards on the left section of the floor.
The rest of the seats were empty, making the group stand out.
Lilac Riddle was the woman, and the five guards were the individuals that attacked Helix earlier that day.
An invisibility wall on the left side of the Earthians prevented them from seeing the group.
Everyone was informed that they were coming and that the issue with Helix was a misunderstanding.
Still, they didn't give anyone a reason to start trouble.
Helix found it comical how uncomfortable the guards were.
Despite being invisible, they were constantly glancing at the Earthians nervously.
They were awkward when looking at Helix.
Eliza was having a ball, making her presence conspicuous as possible.
Helix chuckled at her antics and wondered what her mother thought.
The queen was still present and occasionally came out onto the balcony and grimaced when she saw Eliza.
Helix imagined that Eliza explained the situation before the auction, and Liliana reluctantly agreed to it.
It was a spectacle.
Helix looked up and smiled at all of the ecstatic Nobles salivating.
"Welcome to the Samma's Exotic Fashion Bizarre Exclusive Auction!" Helix yelled dramatically in a booming voice.
Excited cheers and whistles exploded from the seating.
The nobles were appalled by the whistles and mannerisms of the Earthian's cheering.
It had a much different vibe.
However, it made them more excited.
They were there to complete the Earthian story and revel in their emotions.
So it was all part of the experience.
Helix grinned at their shifted behavior and thanked the non-Elise gods that they had likely averted one crisis.
"Tonight we make history by…." He began while scanning the otakus and weebs.
"Buying and wearing the same things we used to."
Helix ended with a cheeky smile, and his peers burst into laughter.
The nobles were confused at first, but when they remembered it was [Earthian] clothing, they started laughing too.
"Thank you to the wonderful Alzerian nobles who have shown up!" Helix announced.
"They will get a chance to watch Earthians be… as weird as they were on earth."
More laughter erupted from the audience.
The nobles were getting excited watching the otakus and weebs cackling.
It was new and exciting.
"Give it up for the wonderful nobles in Alzeria!"
The super-otakus and power-weebs burst into applause.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThey didn't particularly want to, but Marie and Riley were clapping at full volume, so they instinctively joined their War Goddesses.
The nobles were very pleased by the unexpected praise.
"Before we get started, I'll give the nobles fair warning.
Most of my clothing designs are high-fashion.
Those pieces are part of the Samma's Earthian Collection.
However, I've made some things as comfort items for some, and they're not considered normal for most Earthians…." Helix chuckled.
The otakus and weebs burst into laughter.
A wave of confusion washed over the nobles.
"Those items are part of the Otaku Collection and should not be confused as high fashion.
You will be warned ahead of time.
If you like the items, I will encourage you to buy them and use them as intended.
There is nothing in this world even remotely like them.
That is the essence of Samma's EXOTIC Fashion Bizarre!" Helix roared.
Deafening cheers rang out in the Kina district.
Everyone was just as excited as the otakus and weebs.
However, the Earthians were dying.
The thought that high nobles would spend a fortune on a pair of cat ears was priceless.
"Let's get started! As a collection inspired by Earthians, it's best to start with a Otaku Collection item!"
Cheers exploded in the auction house.
"First up! The exact opposite of high-fashion and a flag for the anti-social…." Helix said with a mysterious smile.
"Is an extra-large t-shirt with a monster-catching ball on it!"
The otakus and weebs exploded with excitement.
Everyone in the skyboxes was fascinated by the strange clothing.
The description seemed to blank out of their head.
Only one person was staring at the Earthians like they had a screw loose—Eliza.
"As part of the Otaku Collection, it is not representative of high fashion, nor should it be treated that way.
Samma made these upon my request, and it is not a Samma's Earthian collection item.
However, this is a landmark piece of high culture on Earth.
So while no one should wear this…." Helix chuckled.
"It does have a… strange amount of power and influence.
It is… exotic fashion."
The otakus and weebs were roaring with laughter, and the nobles were fascinated.
"There are two of these for sale tonight and one for sale tomorrow!" Helix announced.
"Nobles, you have a sign indicating whether you want to bid on this item.
Lifting the red sign means you want to give the otakus the right to buy both.
Green means you want to bid.
Let's try this out. Cheat hopefuls, use your sign to indicate whether you want the opportunity to bid on both!" Helix requested
The Earthians shot up their signs in the air.
They were paddles with red and green sides.
Every person in the Earthian section held up the green signal as high as possible.
The nobles were fascinated by their enthusiasm.
Helix told them that the product was garbage, shouldn't be worn, and a signal anti-social.
Yet their enthusiasm bordered on the extreme.
"There you have it! The otakus are willing to bid on both.
However, you have the exclusive right to bid on one if more than half of the nobles show the green sign.
Otherwise, the bidding is open for both the otakus and the nobles." Helix explained.
He panned the skyboxes to see as many faces as possible.
"In case you're wondering… yes.
I did say no one should wear this.
That's honest.
Anyone here will tell you that.
Yet everyone is so enthusiastic it's depressing.
That's what we call…."
Helix shook his head with hopeless eyes.
"Art."
The otakus and weebs erupted into a pride-filled frenzy.
The nobles watched the spectacle with bewildered expressions.
"Nobles! Raise your signs with green if you want to bid on one exclusively.
Raise red if you wish to skip and allow the otakus to bid with you.
You may begin!"
The nobles shot their hands up instantly.
Helix's expression almost crumbled when he saw their answer.
[100% Yes].
"Okay! We'll start with the otakus. The bidding starts at one gold coin.
Please remember that there are other items, so you shouldn't spend all your money in one place.
You may begin!"
"Five!"
"Ten!"
"Fifteen!"
"Twenty!"
The nobles scoffed when they saw the baby numbers being used.
"Twenty five!"
"Thirty!"
"Thirty five!"
"Fourty!"
"Forty-Five"
"Fifty!"
The nobles' eyes narrowed when they noticed how many people were bidding and the rate they were doing it.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmTheir increases were instantaneous.
Eliza was giggling at the behavior.
"Ninty!"
"Ninty Five!"
"One hundred!"
…
"One fifty!"
The atmosphere with the nobles shifted.
Bid sizes were low, but they came out of the otaku's mouths as fast as they could speak.
It started at five and moved up in small increments, but it was getting exorbitant for young adults.
"Two hundred!"
"Two twenty!"
"Two Twenty Five!"
"Twe fifty!"
Their eyes kept getting wider by the second.
"Four hundred!"
"Four twenty!"
"Four forty!"
Their excitement was growing.
If [children] were willing to drop enough money to buy a reasonable house for this shirt, how much should they?
"Five hundred fifteen!"
Helix turned his head and panned the otakus.
"Is there anyone else?" He chuckled.
There was no one willing to bid more.
"Sold to Sammy for five hundred fifteen gold!" Helix roared.
"It's not high etiquette but I can see your excitement, so please pick it up."
The young woman was thrilled beyond measure.
She ran to the stage with tears of joy in her eyes.
The nobles watched with fascination and wide eyes.
"Nobles! These emotions you're seeing….
This scene is what the Earthian collection is all about!
This emotion inspired Samma to come out of retirement and start designing again!" Helix roared.
"How do you [feel] watching this!?"
The nobles burst into standing applause and rained their praise from the skyboxes.
Helix didn't know whether to laugh or cry at their acceptance of their culture.
He imagined that the otakus and weebs would have been sensible people if their parents felt this level of excitement for their children's choices.
"Alright! Then let the bidding begin!
Bids start at one gold coin. You may begin!"
