“No wonder the Earth Dragon’s golden armor is so strong,” said the woman who had previously encountered Long Chen in Heaven Demon City. “It’s been absorbing the metal energy from this altar to cultivate!”

The other woman scowled, her expression darkening. “That sword reeks of our ancestors’ blood soul energy! The despicable humans must have used our ancestors’ blood souls to refine its item-spirit. It’s unforgivable!”

The remaining Heaven Demon Divine Phoenix experts sprang into action. Arrows streaked through the air, trailing blood-colored threads. Millions of these threads formed into a giantthat descended upon the Earth Dragon.

The two women appeared on top of the net, their manifestations melding with it as their heaven vein dragon qi formed a double-layer lock.

The Earth Dragon roared and struggled intensely, but it couldn’t break free from themade from the power of millions of experts.

After they had sealed the Earth Dragon, the altar started to shine. In just a few short breaths, Xia Feng had managed to activate the altar’s formation.

“Big brother Xia Feng, you’re amazing!” the two women cheered.

Xia Feng smirked in satisfaction as he stepped onto the altar and reached for the golden sword. Sadly…

A brick struck the back of his head with devastating force. Blood sprayed into the air as his skull caved in.

Long Chen’s mocking voice echoed through the cavern as the golden sword vanished from Xia Feng’s grasp.

“Where do you think you’re going?!” the enraged woman screamed, preparing to give chase, but her companion grabbed her arm.

Only then did she realize Xia Feng’s dire state. When they rushed to his side, they found him conscious but disoriented. His vision was spinning as he struggled to stand.

“Long Chen…” Xia Feng growled, clutching the back of his head. Blood seeped through his fingers, and waves of pain blurred his vision. Gritting his teeth, he spat, “Long Chen, I, Xia Feng, swear… I’ll kill you!”

“He’s absolutely loathsome. When we find him, we won’t just kill him—we’ll make him suffer for what he’s done,” snarled the second woman, her voice trembling with rage.

They had done everything to claim the treasure, sacrificing hundreds of thousands of their warriors in the process. Yet, all their efforts had amounted to nothing. The mere thought of Long Chen’s smug escape made their blood boil; they felt like they might explode from rage.

“Long Chen was already a known enemy of the Heaven Demon Alliance,” Xia Feng hissed through clenched teeth. “We’ve been looking for him, and now he’s foolish enough to walk into our territory. Use our secret art to alert the alliance. Spread word of his actions here. Everyone in the Heaven Demon Alliance must be on the lookout for him. If they find him, they’re to kill him on sight.”

Though Xia Feng burned with a desire for vengeance, he knew that the Heaven Vein Mystic Realm was too vast. Finding one man within it was akin to chasing a ghost in the night—simply impossible.

Still, the potential gains from capturing Long Chen were too significant to ignore. Sharing the news was the safest and most pragmatic move.

“Let’s go…” Xia Feng ordered, his voice weak but resolute.
