Chapter 982 Teach Her a Good Lesson
Though there were grudges between them, everyone knew how it all began.
Knowing that Vincent wouldn't hurt Rachel, Elisa walked ahead with Charli.
As they walked further, Rachel burst out anxiously, "Hey, can't you tell me later? I'm going to eat with Elisa. Didn't
you say you were hungry?"
Vincent let out a cold snort. "Stop panicking - they are right ahead of us. It's Norman who wants to meet Elisa, who
calls the shots now. There's nothing to worry about."
Rachel also laughed frostily. "She's my best friend. Of course, I care about her! And..." She snorted coldly. "Aren't
you best friends with Gareth? It's because of him that you agreed to meet Norman today. Now that Elisa has left,

Vincent's already sour mood was exacerbated by her words, making him speechless in anger. He couldn't help but
let out a bitter laugh in response to the situation.
"So, you think it's because of Gareth that I agreed to have this meal together?"
Can she be more observant?
Rachel's lips twitched as she looked at him perplexedly. "Isn't it normal to do this for your friend? What's wrong with
it?"
Once again, Vincent laughed at her absurd assumption. He let go of her and said pettily, "Fine! You're right - I'm
doing this because of my friend! It's completely unrelated to you!"
With that, he walked in the same direction as Elisa without sparing another glance at Rachel.
Even at that moment, Rachel had no idea what was going on. She cursed and quickly caught up with Elisa, holding
her arm.
Elisa turned around and saw Rachel's dark expression. Her eyes flashed before asking, "Why don't you go back
first? I'm sure Norman won't hurt me - he doesn't have the guts to do that."
"How can I do that? I'm worried about leaving you alone with him. There's a lot of us - it's not going to be easy even
if he's cooking some plans," Rachel replied firmly. She wouldn't leave her friends behind even if she was in a bad
mood. That was not the way she did things.
Elisa pursed her lips, knowing that Rachel wouldn't change her mind. Even if she knew there was no danger, she
just let Rachel tag along.
Soon, they got into the car, and Vincent walked directly to the driver's seat. "I'll drive."
Elisa shot a glance at him.

She knew the main reason he was here, so she passed the keys to him. "Thanks."
Vincent didn't say a word and took his seat.
With him in the driver's seat, it was impossible for Rachel to take the seat beside him. Hence, she sat at the back.
Charli was not close with Vincent, so Elisa ended up taking the passenger seat.
When Vincent was driving, he shot occasional glances at Rachel through the rearview mirror. When he saw how
nonchalant she was, he became more irate.
D'mnthatwoman! After the meal, I'm going to teach her a good lesson!
Meanwhile, Rachel started scrolling Twitter. She didn't pay close attention even if she felt something was off.
Instead, she focused on the trending topics to check if Elisa's case was being discussed online again.
After a while, there were no signs of it. She put her phone down and said disinterestedly, "I thought there would be
something on Twitter, but there's nothing."
