Chapter 210
“Yes, it is.” Serenity was certain. “For me, the truth is more important than anything else!”
The car accident happened three years ago,” Jack reminded her. “There might have been surveillance
footage and evidence, but they would be gone by now. It’s hard to overturn the conviction, let alone find
out the truth.”
Serenity let out a bitter laugh. She naturally understood his intention. Jackson would overturn the
conviction for her, but the truth did not matter to him. Mira’s thoughts and her suicidal driving which had
led to the car accident-it did not matter.
Jackson had never had any feelings for Mira. Mira’s unfortunate death meant nothing to him. All he had
lost was just a candidate for marriage.
“Jackson, you never loved Mira at all, Serenity suddenly said in an unmistakable tone.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtJackson lowered his gaze slightly, “I never said I loved her.”
“Then who do you love?” When her question sounded, an answer instantly came to his mind.
He looked at her for a moment in a daze. After a while, he collected his thoughts and said, “Sis. Who
do you want me to love?”
Serenity suddenly felt silly. Why had she asked such a stup id question? This man treated marriage like
a business deal. He probably would never fall in love with anyone in his life.
“Sorry, I shouldn’t have asked,” she apologized with a slight frown. “You don’t have to help. I’ll figure it
out myself.”
Serenity was determined to find out the truth in her own way. It might take a long time, but there was
still a chance, right?
“Really? His gaze remained pinned on her. “Fine, then. I’ll see what you can come up with. But if you
change your mind, come to me anytime. I’ll help you overturn the case.”
“Why do you want to help?” Serenity gave him a puzzled look. By the look on his face, she was finally
sure it was not empty talk. He was really planning to help her.
However, it was strange for him to do so. Serenity had rejected him in the hospital before. After that,
whenever she needed his help, he would ask her to give something back in return, and….
“What do you want me to do? Is there a condition to it?”
“There’s no condition. You don’t have to do anything either,” Jackson said. “Take it as my compensation
for you.”
“Compensation?”
“You suffered a lot while in prison. You deserve this much compensation. So, if you want to overturn the
conviction, just let me know anytime,” Jackson said.
His words were like a great temptation that shook her heart, wavering the decision she had just made.
If she could overturn the conviction… As soon as she did, she would be off the records. She would be

However. If Serenity could not completely clear her name, would she have the courage to be a lawyer
again and stand in court?
Serenity found it fronte that none of her family, relatives, or former colleagues had ever thought of
helping her.
Her only best friend who had worked hard to help once told her with a grave exqiression, “Serenity. I
don’t think you can overturn your conviction at all. No one dares to help. No lawyer will accept the case,
let alone find the evidence in your favor.”
When Serenity was in prison, Jackson Valor was the man she feared the most. He made her restless
and terrified. Whenever she heard his name, she could not help but tremble. Of all people, he was the
one who had said that he could help her overturn the conviction at any time.
