She turned to him with a searching look and asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Have you thought about how you’re going to introduce me later?” he asked.

She was stunned for a moment but quickly replied, “I’m going to introduce you as my boyfriend, of

course.”

“Okay,” Jackson smiled gently, “Let’s go, then”

The two then got out of the car. Serenity walked up to the door and knocked on it. Not long afterward,

the door opened, but the person she was greeted by was not her grandmother. Instead, it was her aunt,

Theresa.

Theresa’s expression tumed shifty as soon as she recognized Serenity

“Oh!” she cried. “So it’s you, Serenity! Why, you’ve even brought along another guest!!

She had heard earlier that her uncles and aunt took turns taking care of her grandmother. Seeing Aunt

“Your grandmother still isn’t able to eat or sleep that well,” Theresa replied as the three walked into the

Lynette Blossom, Theresa’s daughter, was sitting in the living room, watching the television while

her, but she was then distracted when she saw Jackson, who was right beside Serenity. Her eyes were

grandma’s room to see her?

Serenity then turned and left for her grandmother’s room while Lynette was still aggressively sizing up

Jackson.

Lynette felt that this man looked like he had just stepped out of a painting even when be just sat quietly

there doing nothing. Yet when she tried to talk to him, she only managed to open her mouth, but before

she could utter a word, she had to stay quiet because she was intimidated by his impressive aura.

It felt as if she could only stare at him from afar but never get any closer to him at all.

Meanwhile, Serenity went into her grandmother’s room. She did not see her grandfather there, and

only her grandmother was lying in bed and sleeping. It looked like she had gotten even thinner since

she had last seen her.

As Serenity watched ler frail old grandmother, she had an inexplicable feeling that her grandmother

was at the end of her life. Perhaps it was because her grandmother really was old now. No matter how

vivacious and full of life the grandmother in her memories was, it was clear now that as the years went

by, especially after she had fallen seriously ill, that she probably only had a few years left.

If her grandmother only had one year left to live, she really had to cherish this year to the fullest!

Serenity stayed in the rooms for a while before quietly leaving. She had no wish to disturb her
