Chapter 567
On Saturday afternoon, which was Serenity’s day off from work, she was dragged along by Lisa to a
roadshow event for a
movie.
“Do you know how hard it was for me to grab these two tickets?!” Lisa babliled on. “Finn Gordon is
going to be at the roadshow. He knows you, doesn’t he? Could you say something to him for me,
please? Could you at least persuade him to take a picture with me?
Lisa looked as if she was so eager to meet Finn Gordon that she was willing to do anything, even lay
down her own life!
“Why didn’t you just come with Terry instead? Serenity asked, thinking that Terry would have been of
much more help to Lisa than she could ever be.
Lisa’s mouth twitched. The truth was that she had kept the fact that she was coming here a complete
secret from Terry! Judging by that man’s temper, she was certain that he would mope and sulk for days

In fact, Terry had forced her to drink so much that she had gotten completely drunk, and she had nearly
gotten her ear pulled and grounded by him for it–all because of a Finn Gordon poster!
Although, to be fair, Terry had only forced her to drink the first glass of wine. She had voluntarily drank
the rest because she thought the wine tasted really good.
“Forget it,” Lisa shook her head. “If I bring him along. I’ll never get to meet Finn Gordon!”
Serenity could not help but chuckle.
“So he doesn’t like you chasing celebrities?” she asked.
“You bet he doesn’t!” Lisa pouted. “Everytime I get excited about my favorite idols, he’d act like I owed
him a ton of money!”
“Maybe he’s just jealous,” Serenity suggested. Jack was exactly like that too. He would get all jealous
and possessive of her just because he found out she was Finn Gordon’s fan.
“That’s impossible!” Lisa responded, immensely amused by what Serenity had just said. “At most, he
probably just doesn’t want me to think of any other man but him before he gets his revenge.”
Lisa thought to herself that this kind of behavior was expected of a man who was so petty that he would
hold a grudge against a woman he had lost his virginity to
Hearing this. Serenity chose to say nothing else. Lisa would have to experience it herself when it came
to the subject of love and other emotions, anyway.
And so, Serenity and Lisa entered the venue, and they headed to their seats according to the tickets
that Lisa had bought for both of them, which were in the third row and pretty close to the stage.
Before the movie started, the main cast came out and interacted with the audience. Naturally, most
people who attended the roadshow were big fans of the starring actors in the movie, so a lot of them
were holding up posters and placards of their favorite idols, but what surprised Serenity was the fact
that even Lisa was holding up a sign that said, “Finn Gordon is the
best!”
“What do you think?” Lisa asked her. “I actually paid someone to make this, you know.”
Lisa had really spared no expense for this event.

When the thine came, the main cast started to get on stage, one of them being Finn Gordon. His
appearance caused the fans to erupt in applause, screams, and shouts, all vying in attract their klol’s

sign frantically in the air.
Seeing this, Serenity was quite envious of her best friend’s lively enthusiasm. She realized that she had

someone as still as a stagnant puddle of water.
If it had not been for Jack, perhaps she would now be leading a life that was utterly devoid of any hope.
But Lisa was completely the opposite. She was passionate and had a genuine zest for life. Her face
was vivacious with expressions, and she was never afraid to voice her true feelings.
Sometimes, Serenity wished that she could be more like her friend.
Just then, she suddenly noticed Lisa’s hoarse shouting voice abruptly dying down, and she heard the
host of the event announce, “Now, let’s welcome the special guest of the roadshow to the stage–Aria
Lewis!”
