Chapter 626
She remembered how the price of this diamond had gone up to tens of millions of dollars. She had even joked at
the time about who would eventually get to wear such an opulently expensive diamond.
Never would she have thought that one day, the very same diamond would appear once again right in front of her.
She asked Jackson, “Is this.. the Heart of Serenity?”
“You’ve seen it before?” Jackson responded, somewhat surprised.
“Uh–huh,” she nodded.
“I was planning to use this diamond for your wedding ring,” he told her. “Later, you may choose the best style of
ring for you, or you can let the designer design a special style just for you.”
Wedding ring?! Serenity blinked her eyes in disbelief.
Was this diamond that was worth tens of millions of dollars really going to be on her wedding ring?! She suddenly

“What’s wrong?” he asked, slightly furrowing his brows. “Don’t you like it? If you really don’t, I can find a different
diamond, or perhaps you’d prefer a different gemstone instead?”
“No!” she hastily denied. It was not that she disliked it at all, she just “This diamond is way too expensive. Are you
sure you’re going to use this for my wedding ring?”
“Why not?” he smiled gently, amused by her current expression, which he found adorable. “You can turn it into a
necklace instead if you like, but as for it being too expensive.
He paused, then took her right hand and leaned down to kiss her ring finger, which was where the wedding ring
was about to go once they got married.
“No diamond ring is too expensive for you because you’re the woman that I, Jackson Valor, want to marry!”
A distinct warmth quickly spread from the spot where he had kissed her to the rest of her body, and she got misty–
eyed. This was the man she was going to marry, a man who made her feel as if she was tenderly treasured and
cherished.
Agreeing to marry him was perhaps the best decision she had ever made in her life.
After that, Serenity went on to browse through the different styles of wedding rings. She then spoke with the jewelry
designer and brought up some ideas of what she liked, and thus concluded their first meeting. There would be
other meetings in the future, of course, since this kind of design work required a lot of communication with the
client, and whenever a wedding ring was concerned, it was always safer to be on the cautious side.
“Hungry?” Jackson asked when they were done.
“Yeah,” Serenity nodded,
“Then let’s go eat now,” he said, before taking her to a restaurant that she had once praised the food before.
After ordering, Serenity suddenly realized that all the food Jackson had just ordered were her favorite dishes. That
was just the kind of man he was he would quietly observe her and take note of her likes and preferences, which
inadvertently showed his thoughtful and caring side.

“Come with me to the lawyer’s office tomorrow, he suddenly told her.
“What for?” Serenity responded, taken aback
“The evidence gathered for your case is almost ready now,” he replied. “We’ll need to see the lawyer to sort out
the materials we need, then we’ll file an appeal with the procurator, so you need to come with me to the law firm
tomorrow.”
Serenity’s whole body froze. Even her breathing stopped. File an appeal.. Did that mean that she might really be
exonerated?
Could her innocence be proven soon? Could all the pain and suffering she had endured all be washed away?

In the past, she used to think that she would never be exonerated, that it was something that belonged in the realm
of fantasy.
Yet now, he had just told her that all the evidence gathered for her case was almost ready.
