“Jack” Serenity called out to him. She was louder this time and pressed her hands firmly to his face.

David Shaw was questioning his son, Zeke, in the living room of the Shaw Residence. “Zeke, Jenny

said Jackson sent his secretary to pick you up. Why did he suddenly ask for a private meeting with

you?”

David was a little fearful of Jackson. After all, the Shaw family was unlike the Valor family. The Shaw

“Does Jackson still have an issue with us? Is he going to act against us?” David simply guessed on his

own.

Zeke had to make up an excuse. “It has nothing to do with us. Jackson met me that day and talked

about the engagement party.

Hearing that, David and Marcia breathed a sigh of relief and looked better.

Meanwhile, Zele’s younger sister, Joy, was indignant at the conversation. She complained, “Isn’t it all

because of Serenity? If it weren’t for her, why would we have so many worries?”
