That sent a jolt through his body. He turned his head to look at her in surprise. His dark eyes contained

many emotions that she could not decipher.

“Jack, let me talk to him,” she said as she gripped his hand hard, as if she was comforting him.

Jackson pursed his lips and looked at her without moving an inch,

He was hesitating. He did not know what to do..

Serenity took a step forward, stepping out from behind Jackson. Jackson did not stand in her way.

Her eyes fell on Lucas, who was now only a few steps away. “I’m not the person you’re looking for. I

driving away, then at the money in her hand.

Umin. The three people who came to her store today were most likely not ordinary people. She had

better kept quiet.

Inside the car, Serenity exclaimed, “My electric scouter!”

“I’ll have someone take it back to the restaurant,” said Jackson.

“But. Serenity paused before asking, “Where are you taking me?” He was not driving in the restaurant’s

direction.
