Jackson remained silent and kept driving. He was teeling a panic he had never felt before.

He did not know what he was afraid of. Was he afraid of Lucas finding out that Serenity was indeed the

person he had been looking for? Or was he afraid that Serenity would develop some kind of feelings for

Lucas in the future?

No, Lucas… shouldn’t be able to discover anything. Jackson had already taken the necessary

She bit her lip. From her angle, she could see the layer of frost covering his face. His face was so cold

that it was frightening. His hands were gripping the steering wheel hard, as if he was suppressing his

emotion with all his might.

The inside of the car was once again filled with a suffocating silence.

Did Jackson misunderstand that there was something going on between her and Lucas? Serenity could

only wait to give Jack a proper explanation after the car stopped.

When the car finally stopped, Serenity realized that they were at the top of Mount Asol. From here, they

could overlook the entire city of Solaria.

A lot of people would come here to enjoy the scenery on the weekends and during the holidays, but

right now, there were not that many visitors. Except for the noises made by the insects and birds, the

place was very quiet.
