Chapter 618
Children. For a man belonging to a prestigious family like Jackson, the continuation of his bloodline most likely
meant a lot
to him.
“So what?” Jackson asked. “I told you when we first started dating that I don’t care even if I never have any
children. It is you that I love, not any potential children.”
To him, there was only one person in this world that he truly cared about–Serenity.
“But…” she hesitated.
Did it really not matter to him at all? How many men on earth could truly accept the fate of being childless for the
rest of their lives?
“Serenity!” he pleaded. “Having a child means nothing more to me than having a future heir for the Valor family.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtI’m not much of a generous person, but if we really have children together, perhaps I would love them, and even if
you can’t have children, we can just adopt one either from the orphanage or someone from the minor branches of
the Valor family. To put it simply, this is not a huge problem to me at all. The only thing I care about is whether or
not you are willing to marry me!”
As he spoke the last sentence, he fixed his gaze on her with his scorching eyes. She felt helplessly captivated by
those magnetic eyes of his, almost as if she would never be able to escape that gaze of his no matter how much
she struggled. But the truth was that she never desired to escape it anyway!
Yes, she loved him. She had no intention to break free or escape from him at all.
“Yes,” she answered him finally, “I’ll marry you”
A smile cropped up on his face as soon as he heard those simple words. He then took her hand and kissed it, telling
her, “I don’t ever want to let you go from now on…”
She felt a warmth spreading from her hand to her heart. To be loved by this man indefinitely… what a beautiful
thing that would be!
“Then Just don’t ever let me go, Jack”
She leaned down as she spoke and held his face between her hands before once again kissing him on the lips.
This kiss signified a vow between them. A vow to be by each other’s side for the rest of their lives and grow old and
gray together!
“What?! You’re marrying Jackson Valor?!”
Lisa never thought that she would hear such news when she met her best friend again.
“Uh–huh,” Serenity replied with a sweet smile on her face, then added, “You’re well aware that I don’t have many
friends, so I’m asking you… would you be my bridesmaid?”
“I’d love to, of course! But…”
Lisa stared at Serenity hesitantly.
After learning that everything that had happened to Arla Lewis was very likely to be Jackson Valor’s doing, Lisa truly
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmfelt that the man was terrifying. In terms of his scheming nature, his power and capabilities, as well as his
ruthlessness, Serenity was basically no match for him at all. Not even close
So, was it really a good idea for her to marry Jackson with such power imbalance? What if a problem arose
between them in their marriage and Jackson got angry at her? How would Serenity protect herself then?
Was it smart to solely rely on his love for her? How deep was his love for her, anyway?
Terry had once told her that Jackson was actually the weaker one who was being completely dominated in this
relationship, yet she just could not help but be worried about Serenity.

“What’s wrong?” Serenity asked. “If you’ve got something to say, just say it.”
Lisa hesitated for a long while before finally asking. “Are you sure you love him enough to marry him now,
Serenity?”
“I never thought we’d get married so soon either,” Serenity chuckled, “but it just feels right somehow. I love him,
and he loves me too. He’s willing to accept everything about me, both the good and the bad. That’s why I believe
marrying him is the right thing to do.”
