*Crackle* *Crackle*
The lightning lances pierced into the Lightning Dragon's body.
Relief flowed throughout their bodies as they watched, the ice lances come to a stop upon piercing it's body.
This was a surprise since it seemed to have been made of pure lightning.
The ice began to spread, slowing down the Dragon's movement as it let out a loud ear-piercing screech.
Although it was strong offensively, in terms of defence it was lacking.
The Kessho on top of it, leapt off once the ice almost spread its way onto his leg.
He plummeted towards the roof of one of the few buildings still left standing in the area with a look of disappointment on his face.
*Swoosh*
To his surprise, his figure was suddenly suspended in the air, levitating as it was no longer in a free fall.
The mysterious invisible force had caught him.
[Telekinesis]
Just as he was propelled towards it, the ice flower was too propelled at him.
It was her new move.
[Ice Flower: Bloom.]
The flower was propelled at him and he was propelled at it.
Being unable to avoid or dodge, he was left with no other option but to block as they were about to collide.
But deep down he knew, blocking it was exactly what they would have wanted.
[Thunder Manipulation...]
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtSparks of electricity began to escape from his mouth and eyes as they glowed a bright radiant blue. The clouds grew darker and dark whilst they span around above him.
A grin grew on his mouth as the corner of his lips rose up.
"Wrath."
*KABOOOOM!*
Another loud thunderclap resounded across the area as a bolt of lightning crashed down on him.
Wind pressure and an electric shockwave forced its way towards the two, sending them flying back.
The two's arms which had barely been grazed by the shockwave had gone numb.
They felt chills rush down their spine as they observed the sight ahead of them along with the man's floating figure.
It had changed.
"What is that...?" Violet asked with a fearful expression.

Four members of the fallen angel opposition corps faced off against a single member of the Kessho who stood on his own on top of a building.
The four members were strong, they attacked as a group whilst using their abilities, in a coordinated manner.
Three young men with a woman backing them up at the flank. The one leading them was all beaten up at the form, whereas the Kessho wasn't injured at all.
Gray watched their fight take place through his X-Ray vision.
His silver eye glowed brightly, the pupil seemed to be expanding and contracting indicating when it was zooming in and out of said events.
Gray turned away from it and looked in the other direction.
Through the walls, he could see a few groups of people, stuck closely to one another, trembling as they covered their ears.
All the destruction had gotten them scared for their lives.
Gray proceeded to look up and his eyes widened shortly after.
"Hoh..." He let out with a grin.
"What can you see?" Ria asked, curiously.
"Nothing." He replied.
Her head cocked to the right in a frown. "What do you mean by that?"
[X-Ray: Level 1.]
"I mean I can't see anything. The X-Ray can't see through their Airship for some reason." He said.
That was true, the reason why Gray couldn't help but grin was due to the fact that he could see the fighting going on clearly and the horned ones through their naval fleets.
He couldn't see however, any of the Kessho through the airships, his X-Ray wasn't working through it.
[Defence Mechanism Active.]
[Unable To Use X-Ray to see through the Airship.]
So far Gray had determined two flaws with this X-Ray eye, the first was that he couldn't see up to a certain distance and the other was this one.
"Is that a reason to be grinning like that?" Ria asked with a nervous chuckle.
"That's not why I'm grinning."
'I'm grinning because at least things won't be boring this way. I can't wait to test out the other eye-skills.'
"Then why are you-"
Gray interrupted Ria as he stood up. "Let's start making a move, we've rested for long enough, sister."
Ria who noticed that he changed the subject got up before protruding her bottom lip out in a sulk. "Alright..." She said.
Gray's eyes glowed as he looked through the walls once more.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHe already had his eyes on a target.
'It's time to put the plan in operation.' He thought to himself before walking away.
Ria waked after him, ignoring the corpse of the Kessho in the corner of the room.
[Spatial Manipulation: Teleport.]
The two vanished without a trace.

The Duke and his squad ran on top of one of the City's buildings, looking for a good position to sneak into the airships.
Every passing second, their hairs swayed back and forth from the wind-pressure as the ships engaged in an all-out attack on one another.
While killing all of the beasts which stood on their path, they were slowly but surely making progress on their journey.
Mid-leap from one building to another, the Duke scanned the area.
The Kessho were certainly no joke, their control over their abilities were on par if not above the horned ones.
Just one of them could take on an entire group of five humans, these humans were all using their ability together yet still having difficulties facing them.
'They're noble level in the least-'
His eyes widened as through the corner of his eyes, he saw a familiar figure who was also mid-leap.
Turning to it, they made eye contact.
Gray hair and bright yellow eyes, it was Gray. He looked a little different, but the Duke couldn't tell what it was.
Beside him was his sister,
The leap was completed, even after landing the Duke didn't stop. There was no reason to.
After all he had a mission to complete.
'He doesn't look all that... But the queen is placing a lot of faith in him, so he must be strong... Let's see between the two of us who will truly change the tides of this battle.' The duke thought to himself before disappearing onto the distance with his squad.
